I love my 4PL... but my finger barely fits in the trigger. Can these be easily replaced. My 3PM trigger fits perfect. Any suggestions?

I made a call, I'll check into it. I know there is a wider trigger made, a friend has one in his 4PK however it just came that way. I have NO IDEA how or why.

I think i have found a way to do a momentary front dig. It works on mine but i don't know if its fluke or not. So i have the dual ESC set up with FX-R's front on CH4 and rear on CH2, I set SW1 to TH-OFF DIR:NOR. I tested it and While I am driving if I press SW1 it kills the rear motor and gives front dig. It is a little awkward but i found it works (at least on my setup).

That seemed to help. I must have had the radio set @ 110% when I calibrated them the first time. Thanks!

Second question. Is it usual to have a little "lag" when applying very little throttle? Basically my front motor turns before my rear motor for roughly the first 10% of the throttle curve. You can even see it on the screen as the bars move up as throttle is applied.

Thanks

Then you don't have it setup correctly. At 100% they should be identical. Check you trims and subtrims.

Got it. Bumbed the throttle trim to B40 and that did it. I was just afraid to screw something up that I couldn't fix before Nats.

Thanks again for the help.

That's not the way i'd suggest it. Make sure it's all set to zero, and you mixing is set to 100 then recalibrate. You have had something off when you programed it.

I checked everything before changing the trim and all of the settings were at zero and I had just recalibrated @ 100%.

What's the danger of running it with the trim bumped up?

You just don't get full throw in one direction.

If everything is set to zero and your mixes are at zero then the graphs will move the same and there will be none of the lag you have seen. If you can't figure it out I would suggest starting with a new model to make sure you get it perfect.

Congrats on the purchase, you'll like it (asw27x loves his). If I knew he was going to build me a 2.2 Bully MOA 7 months later (for last Christmas), I would have bought a 4PL instead of a 3PM-x (which covers all my dirt/carpet vehicles).

BTW, STOP with the "All caps"!

I did the same thing when I got mine. I still find myself referring back to Harley's videos and threads from time to time for my 4PL and 3PMX

I didn't see this in here anywhere but I can be blind at times. I am wanting to run a winch and dig on my pl and was wondering wht the best way to do that would be. I would like to run the both from the switch but I am not sure if you can I figure you might be able to with some kind of mix but I don't know I havn't been able to do it yet. I guess if need be I could use the dial for the winch.

Both those things require 3 positions. You have to use DT switches for both of them.

Well, at least I received the radio, still waiting for the RC4WD Bruiser

Will I have to use the SW2 slide switch to change gears?
I don't see any other solutions to be honest but again, I'm not a specialist

That is what I am not sure of how to do. This is my first radio that I have had to set up like this. The ones I have had in the past have been simple stupid radios but I needed more options to be able to run a winch and dig. I have gotten myself lost I believe and nobody that I know close to me runs anything but simple stupid radios. I have a 3-pm but it was already set-up when I got it used off of here so I didn't have to do anything to it.
