Are the V2's any shorter than the V1's?

I have a V1, and it started and twitch like Idaho said. It turned out to be a smal gear who is attached to to a large flat center gear, who had come loose. After I consulted Holmes I sloderd it back on, grinded the solder flush with the gear with a fine file.
Have worked just fine since.

Came home from work yesterday to package from Mr.Holmes, not only did he send me gears to warranty both my servos, he sent me and extra set for BOTH servos, now that my friends is a commitment to customer satisfaction and some outstanding customer service, now my servo is fixed and the Navi will be comping Saturday with that sexy blue servo up front leading the way.
Thanks again Mr.Holmes

Had a chance to run my V2 and it performed better than expected.
I had my BEC set at the highest voltage acceptable, 8.4v 572 in/oz
And let me tell you there was no quarter given!

Performed flawlessly.

Just installed my V2 in my Deadbolt. Seems to work fine when running it stock. But when I run it directly to a Lipo 2s battery, it starts twitching when returning to center. I'm pretty new to this, so I have no idea where to start problem solving. I made sure all batteries were fully charged. Any help would be appreciated.

Put one in 1 of my Wraith's and busted it in less then 30min.
Impressive on paper,, but not impressed at all.

After the install and testing in the shop it worked fine.
Sparked it up at the trail it slammed over to the left and locked,,wtf?
Unplugged it,,,plugged it back in and it worked fine and then half hour later it and under no majar load at the time it made a snapping sound

Sad thing is thinking this was the dream servo we have all been waiting for I bought 12 of these dam things! Yes 12,,I have over 20 trucks.
I have tried them all and spent over $1000 on servo's just on my Wraith's alone since it's release.Had some good luck with high end JR's and Hitec's but will someone step up and get this shit right?!

I understand there will be growing pains with new products that crawlers are "abusing". The more customers we have using the servos, the higher chance of finding the weak links. When we get enough information to start fixing the weak links, we can really make a product that will shine in off road trucks. The big problem with drive electronics is that we can test them here until blue in the face. Guaranteed there will be at least 3% that fail in the first hour of use or even during shipping. The power of having enough numbers for statistical analysis is that we can identify the real problems and determine what is fixable, and what we have to deal with as a problem of surface mount electronics.

So I really appreciate the support and ability to work with yall on this. So far we have identified ways to increase the gear strength, but otherwise there aren't patterns in the drive electronics besides the random gremlin.

I bought all V2's.
Also note they don't fit the Vanq, Wraith chassis mounts,,had to file the tabs down 1/16 each side.

Awesome, thanks for the info..

I only got one of my V2's mounted up.. Put it in my ClassiCutCustom Berg axles. I did notice the tabs are slightly in between a 7950 an 7980 mount tho.
I'm not complaining, it took the place of my 7980 an I didn't feel I lost Any torque. On the other hand I gained, what seemed to be, Lots of speed!
It steered me to a 1st place finish at the North East Nationals Qualifier!

Any chance you'll be testing the other 11 an will report back with anymore, if any, issues?

I purchased a V2 and ran it at the KOG comp in OHIO. I made it through the comp but it messed up the settings on my radio gear. Afterwards I can't seem to get it to work right at all. It either locks one direction, real slow transit, or it twitches and doesn't center. Called in to HH and sent in to warranty- I trust they will take care of it. I hope this line of servos becomes the go-to servo.

I spoke to soon on mine. I have a V1 and is has been running fine sense I bought it in Feb and last week in the middle of a run it slammed to one side and hasn't worked sense. If I unplug it I can move it back and forth with no problem but as soon as I add power it slams back to one side. I doubled checked all settings on radio and they are fine. I dropped in a Savox with the same setup and same radio settings and it worked fine.
