Someone mentioned an old JR servo that had the "twitches". I too had a few of them, and a really old Futaba as well.

All three were fixed by taking the servo apart and thoroughly flushing the potentiometer with plastic safe electrical cleaner, I use the CRC brand. I was amazed it worked on the first one, so I had to try the other two. It may not work if your potentiometer is extremely worn out.

Tried doing some more durability testing on this servo for you guys.
Wound up finally snapping a front output on the trans.
Servo's doin' fine, though.

Just put 2 2200mah packs through this servo and the noise is gone, servo runs perfectly.

Mine just came in yesterday, I was planning to use it on a project im working on (a 1/6 jeep) but I had the idea of replacing the Savox ( SA-1283SG ) in my SCX10.

The Savox has served me well, 416oz @ 6volts - and the HH is 418 @ 7.4V

and the speed on both servos is pretty much neck and neck, so my question is : is the xtra voltage really worth it? I mostly run my rig at G6's, 6-7 hours at a time- over a lot of sierra nevada granite.

What are the advantages of the xtra voltage?

If you don't need more speed or torque, then there isn't a need to run extra voltage.

We ran through the first batch before the second run is done. We have plenty of gears and parts here for warranty service though. I won't be on RCC for a while, so if you have servo issues please contact us directly.

I'll warranty both. What's they doing?

They both are making a high pitched chirping sound and they will just twitch back and forth on their own, the one that I ran at 6v now will not turn at all it just chirps and twitches, the one I ran at 7.4v is now slow in transit and will stall out super easy and will randomly decide not to turn and will just chirp and twitch.

I have two v1's, first one got replaced due to a stripped gear. Still doin fine on 8lb's(wraith)of torture!!! The 2nd one is still on my xr & holding up just fine with prob 25 packs now. I had 7950th on xr & can't really tell difference at all between the two!!! I can't wait to see what the v2 offers with all ti gears, waterproof & more torque...may just be best servo ever if meets those specs with that price. Got v2 on the way!!! Ty HH
