I reopened the flashlight and found the resistor inside! I soldered it inline on the cathode end and all of a sudden, SUCCESS!!! Last edited by Xrayray; 08-27-2018 at 03:25 AM. |

I took the 2 unused battery tray end caps, cut and dremel the edges so I have 2 plastic L mounts. I used 3m foam tape. Last edited by Xrayray; 08-27-2018 at 03:22 PM. |

Would that be safe to use now that I had installed the resistor in line? BTW this resistor is unknown, I just cut it off the original flashlight. I fried my first led strip by plugging it into the Rx, I'm afraid to do it again.

Although the price is a bit high for only one diff. I had a hard time finding the Redcat equivalent but it could be bad timing.

Most LEDs run on 3.2 volts. My 5 volt led strips have resistors.

16 LEDs in parallel, 3v for the entire led strip. 5v from the BEC, feeding into a 4.7 ohm resistor. 5v - 3v = 2v 2v/4.7 ohm = 425mA 425mA / 16 LEDs' = 26.5mA per led. Now it's not running hot and its plugged into the Rx powered by the stock BEC. Whew! Total cost $3.99 for the led and a 4.7 ohm resistor. Plastic brackets $0 Last edited by Xrayray; 08-28-2018 at 07:29 PM.

I added a servo wire extension that I had laying around. It has an additional 1.7 ohm resistor soldered in series and when plugged into the LED wiring, it adds to the 4.7 ohm currently in series as well. 2v/6.4 ohms = 312.5 mA This drops current even more to 19.5mA per LED. That is more within the standard 20-25mA per LED. Now this light bar can be powered as long as I have the main pack still going! It is now also being run with the Low Voltage Cutoff as the Lipo dies through running, it will just cut off. My only question for everyone: Has anyone run this stock Dynamite ESC with lipo all the way down till LVC? What is the voltage cutoff? Last edited by Xrayray; 08-29-2018 at 01:22 PM. |

I usually set my lvc around 3.3v. Not sure if that's programed into the esc. I usually set mine in the radio but I don't know if u can with the stock radio. I ordered a Flysky GT-3B to run my ground vehicle's. Sent from my ASUS_X017DA using Tapatalk |

Lvc on the esc which is a hobbywing 1060 essentially is 3.25 for each cell. I run 3s. Bec is 6v on these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Got the forward mount battery tray on the little Barrage based MRC fabbed up and mounted on the servo. Probably not my cleanest work, but it functions very well. Laid out the pattern, cut it out, bent it up. I was originally going to use 3m auto body tape to secure it to the servo, but I ended up leaving some material to bend down as tabs on my pattern. The tabs are sandwiched between the servo and the servo mounts and the servo bolts pass through and snug the whole assembly up. Next are some shots of the new course addition I mentioned a few pages back. I got the area cleaned out, and added a few rocks I had to start visualizing. I've still got a bunch of rocks and boulders I can pick up for free, just need to find the time and coordinate borrowing my bodies truck. It's basically a loop that will be able to be run in either direction with several points of entry. It also ties in to the stuff I cut in earlier this year along the little path in the last picture. Should be pretty sweet when it's done. I'll post some pics as it evolves. My end goal is for everywhere you can currently see dirt, for it to be filled with rocks and boulders. Including the path in the last pic that heads down to the other trails. |

That looks like a nice loop! I'd be out there all day since its got some shade. Here in the city I have to go looking and theres only a few spots nearby (15 min drive)

Thanks @Xrayray. I’m pretty fortunate to have the amount of yard I do, access to rocks and boulders, and an understanding wife who knows I love tiny trucks!

Got even more forward weight bias done. With the battery now living on the new servo mount battery tray, it free'd up the space on the chassis where it used to sit. I flip / flopped the ESC and RX, bringing the heavier ESC forward and placing the RX directly behind it. It climbed even better today with just the battery tray mod, so can't weight to see how this helps. Next step is to order the Proline SUMO body to add a bit 'O scale to this tiny rig. I'm just blown away how well this little thing crawls. Can't weight to roll it out on the next trail run and show some people. On 3s, it's actually rather fast as well! Got the ProLine Sumo body on order. It should be interesting finding a good way to mount it up to the MRC Chassis. I've got a couple ideas though. |

Got the Sumo body. Trimmed it up and did a quick test fit. I'm going to need to clearance the fenders a bit. My wheelbase is a bit longer than the stock Barrage with the MRC chassis. Scratching my head a bit about mounting points and methods, but we'll get it figured out. Open to ideas on mounting methods? Let's here your thoughts. |

That was fast! It looks like a side mount or bolt on like a hardbody?
