The 1.09 firmware is great. Even better low speed control.

Ordered my first BR-XL for TCS last night, if all goes as well as I expect it a BR-XL will be in all my rigs.

I have a W.P. BRXL that's on the fritz. When I power it up, it does the usual chime sounds but doesn't do the chimes for the # of battery cells. The lights flash while it's chiming, but after that there's nothing, no lights, no forward/reverse, nothing. Anybody have an idea what might be the problem, besides me being electronically challenged?

Sounds like one of the IC power rails is down. Send it in and we will check it out. Holmeshobbies.com/blog is where you can find details for the procedure.

Will do, thanks John.

Come to think of it, I owe you for the other one that I sent in with the motors a few days ago.

This is always listed at the first line of the product on my site. May is the next run.

... but I did just get a small run. Sending some out to hobby shops and TCS after taking care of a few warranties, then we will see what is left to recharge the site. I may have 20 units left over, but other people take priority at the moment.

I'm sure its been asked and answered somewhere, but what risks do I run decasing a couple of these to run in my xr10?

I have a few units up on the site for sale right now.

Risks of decasing are bumping parts off the board, they are easier to damage. If you pop off the heatsink it can take FETs with it or cause them to fail later.

I have a small run of decased ESCs with only power and RX wires coming in the next batch, essentially bare boards. Good for people wanting to compete with minimal weight or add their own heatsink.

I would love to buy 2 more from you, already decased and ready to go. However, funds aren't there and I already have 2, but they're in cases. I'll be honest, I'm too scared to mess one up or they would be decased already. I can be careful with the board, but I don't know what FETS are, what they do, nothing. Are they stuck to the heatsink or the heatsink stuck to them? I've pulled my sidewinder out of the case a few times to blow dust out and it still works like its supposed to. I know they use the same case, but are the insides similar in yours and the sidewinder? If I were to send you mine, is decasing something you handle if someone already has one of your ESCs? Thanks for the reply and the info. They work great by the way. Excellent low speed control through a pair of your 45t and still good wheel speed when I need it. Drag and hold break!

Any chance some will be lumped in with a combo, or is that still not happening until May?
