Hello, I'm Jay and I'm in central New Jersey. Deffinitely newbie to crawling. Not new to R/C. When I was a kid 15+ years ago I had a Clod that got fairly modified but more like a puller, not a crawler. Also had RC10, JRXT, Blackfoot... Got out of it, traded $2000 worth of stuff for a crappy ATV. Dumb kid. Anyway, got into R/C Helicopters about 4 or 5 months ago. They're lots of fun but stressful to fly. So I got an RC18MT for fun. It's LOTS of fun, been heavily upgraded. I've been typing Clod Buster into search engines since I got back into R/C. I'm going to buy soon. I miss my old Clod. I'm a little nervous about posting here since I don't plan on building my chassis(That is a pre-requisite to join right?). But I guess we'll see how it goes. -Jay Oh yeah, anyone in central NJ that wants to show me their crawlers in exchange for lunch? Any good shops in NJ or the area that deal with crawlers and/or Clod parts? Thanks Last edited by BigJay; 07-17-2005 at 01:22 PM. |

Hey all... My names PJ,and I live in Northern California(Sacramento)..I have a TXT,and a TLT.Others include my t-maxx,Rc10T3,T4,Tc3,MT2....When I first got my tlt-1,I thought, ooh man, this thing has no potential..I WAS WRONG..i stumbled accross your site by reading someone elses post on another forum..My current project is my txt..Learned everthing from this site ..I would take time to thank the members of Rccrawler for being considerate and helping me out.so,THANK YOU! I wanted to know if anyone know where some good crawling places are around here....Also,I see that people are mostly running MOABS and LST's for their tires. What are the best tires without any modifications to them(cutting treads, narrowing, etc.)?Thanks! |

whatup bigyjay. i agree on the heli's, they are stressful to fly. its like trying to balance a ball bearing on a sheet of glass while running. its just not relaxing! welcome and such. |

Hello there. I've been rc racing since 1986 when I got my Tamiya Frog. I think crawling is kinda neat so I thought I'd check it out. I've been using my Blackfoot Xtreme as a crawler. I know it's not hardcore but neither am I at this point. I just realized that the Proline FJ40 body is discontinued after I had measured and found out that the body will fit my blackfoot nicely. Dang!
