do u guys know if I can import everything that is posted on google images?

here are the rest~

actual paper mockup of front hanger~

completed front and rear~

on to the front axle~

made a small tab to bolt to the spring perch on the K44~

brazed a pice of flat stock on for the lower coil retainer and brazed a retaining ring.

here you can see the platform brazed together-

then add the 3 individual parts and get this~

then ya round off the corners and polish it up a bit~

cut some slots for screws~

not too shabby~

start on the other side~

and before ya know it your done!

cutting my frame now~ hopefully I will have an "actual frame" in a few hours~ both of my Bronco bodies came in yesterday and my rc4wd order should be here on Wednesday of next week. looking good!

Sorry, don't know anything about that.

The pics are kind of small, if anything you might have to download them to your computer and upload them to photobucket.

Tamiya! I'll hopefully upload some more pics tonight. I think I am gonna build another frame quick like before I get too committed- (with all the small parts I have built by hand)

first of all this is truly an awesome build. I do have one question. I am wondering if you have tested the articulation of the front ttb? i tried a setup just like it and had zero articulation. i tried to mount the links to the axle with rubber bushings like the 1:1 but were to bulky so i gave up. if yours works good can you post up some closeup pic's of how it's mounted.

Thanks in advance
Brian

This building is getting very interesting!!! I ask you one more time, please, could you tell me where did you get those chassis drawings??? They seem to be a great help to start a very true scale rig!!!
Keeps your detailed work rocking !!!
See you

Don't want to step on toes loneranger, buuuuuutttttttt. They are radius arms, not ttb, Ttb is an independant design. There are radius arms on a ttb suspension and on a solid axle rig. The radius arm suspension when built acts like a anti roll bar if you tighten thebars so they dont twist you will have zero articulation. So you have to have rotating links to have articulation.
Sorry for any stepped on toes lone ranger I had to answer this one.

I have small o-rings between the axle and rad arms. The frame side will use fuel line. Remember this is a scale rig not a comp rig. If I get ONE INCH of movement from the front end I will be happy. (and It would be stupid scale like the rest of the truck!)

Glad you are all enjoying the build.

The frame plans I found on JBG- it is a bronco specific vendor. I just copied the image and scaled it up.

Hey L.R. thanks to share where you got those drawings!!! I’ll be looking at this place!!!
I have an old 67’ F100 as a daily driver and I’m planning to do a 1:10 scale replica and I’ve always dreamed to make the front suspension as you’re making yours, with the radius arms, just as the real thing!!! Nice!!!
See you

hardest part of this build thus far hands down have been the front spring hangers, and then radius arms! I just have not had a good way to go true to scale if I come up with something better than I have got I will let you know!

more pics forthcoming~ got my rc4wd order in tonight!

when you buy 150.00 axles the first thing you should do is drill and file on them to suit your specs! Unmolested on the left, slightly modified on the right!

the brass is a shim I have to cut to get the spring perch to sit flush given the new mounting location its at.

and of course you need to have some kind of scale shock mounts for the rear axle~

I think I am actualy going to jb weld these things on the axle here~ (or try to) if I can use them at all.

any idea what this is?

how about a trackbar mount!

note the high speed floor jacks, uhhh I mean dvds!

these rc4wd scale shocks are friggin HUGE and not scale by any strech- I couldnt use the scale shock towers I made so I had to fab some shock hoops~ I am going to try to find something else to use for shocks as these things are massive! (and there is NO way I can use them in the rear)

torch to bend, sand the bevels, prep with solder-

here is one side done and ready to get mounted, the other is ready for prepping. here is a tip- stick a small 1/8th inch pice of solder INSIDE the tube as it melts it will flow into a good joint- be warned you must vent the tube (hole for shock mount) before doing this or it will get hot build up air and blow out on you (and you may get badly burned)

prep frame area just as you did the hoops~

thats all for now- I got in the mode and made major progress last PM- started adding body mounts, looking at motor mounting, etc...

will try for another update this evening!~

Very nice build sir, you have some talent. It looks like your using the old rc4wd scale shock. Why not use this https://store.rc4wd.com/The-Ultimate...r-_p_1056.html
