Got my 32 pitch gears in so I was able to install the Holmes Puller 500 13t motor. In order to keep the COG as low as possible, the Delrin chassis brace gives just enough room to fit a 540 size motor between it and the skid. I like to run my BW Motor Sav'rs on all my motors, but the extra thickness put the Delrin brace in a bind. At first I just cut a chunk out of the top of my Motor Sav'r, which did the job and removed the binding:

This was an easy fix and worked fine, but it looked kinda ghetto to me, so when I installed the new motor, I stuck the brace on my mill and removed about 1/4 the thickness of the brace just over where the motor sits like so:

Now the brace sits level with no binding and my Motor Sav'r is intact. The material could easily be removed by a Dremel, and the result looks much better than hacking the Motor Sav'r IMO:

Another view showing the new gears, BW motor plate, etc:

Didn't take long to get tired of my old beater body being zip-tied on for testing, so I finally took the time to make some proper body mounts. The Delrin chassis brace has 3 holes for body mounts; the front one was perfectly positioned for the body, but the rear ones need to be further back. Don designed the brace with 2 rear holes so that a mount could be made to the appropriate length and attached to both holes for lateral strength. I fabbed a mount out of some G10 I had lying around. This one is temporary until I'm ready to mount my good body, then I'll adjust the length accordingly and make a new one. Anyway, here's a shot of my rear mount:

I'd much rather mount my body this way instead of to the round chassis brace. This way it stays put and doesn't rotate with the brace and jack your body.

I like the mount but I wanna do a gunnar style, shouldn't be too hard - I HATE body pins.

Actually, I was going to put Gunnar style mounts on, but I only had white screws and wanted to wait till I can pick up some black ones. It'll be super easy to change it out later. For now, body pins will be fine while I'm testing and tuning. In the past, I have always used locking body pins and have never lost one.

Might take you up on that; I'm working 7 days a week and long hours till Christmas so hobby and hardware shopping time is pretty limited now.

If PURPMART doesn't have any, I have some stock in them..

I use them to make similar body mounts to the custom Dlux one's I run.

Prefect to get rid of the Gunnar clip from rolling ur body around.
The body post acts as a set screw and tightens down on the cross brace..
