Narrow Track Width Vanquish Portal Axles

Advantage:
The Narrower track-width may manoeuvre between tightly space path between rocks.
1.9 Ottsix 4.75" Tires does NOT Bind with the lower links at Full Left and Right Steering
Tighter Pin Turns with Dig Function

That said, some might totally disagree or have a much better idea based on their Experience. PEACE!

SUGGESTIONS Only: Please Ignore if you do not agree. Thanks!

Need at least (12) narrow or Vanquish Ball-Link to fit slightly narrow Vanquish Portal Axle Upper and Lower link and Shock Mounts.

No need to adjust length of Link to clock Portals Axle Angle to increase Max Clearance, Straighten Driveshaft Angle and Drivetrain Geometry. Please Use "Top-Most" Link Mount Skid-Plate side, for all Lower Links

Use f/r upper shock mounts closest the axle.

Used Option Upper Front Links included in the Vanquish Portal Servo Mount Set

Thanks for your Interest and Patience. ENJOY

And yeah, the Hobbywing XERUN XR10 Pro 160A + Xerun V10 17.5T G3R combo is not just for 1/10 Racing. It can work GREAT with a 9T Motor Pinion, sensored cable, and 2S 7.2V. Ir Honestly WORKS Fine.

But if your are planning to GO HobbyWingV10, the 21.5T and 25.5T is the Manufacturer's recommendation or Rock Crawlers.

My idea of a Racing PowerPlant is something like the MGM 80063-3 (800A Continuous/1000A Burst) + NEW LMT 30100 (53 HP) @ 15S 48V

Now, from that angle, I can see the wheels are mostly black. From the other angle, they really liked like 100% chrome finish.

I think it's 'good'...not "inappropriate". Tho, I will admit, sometimes my thoughts/opinions don't 'mesh' with the forum rules (I'm NOT saying your post goes against forum rules...it's probably within the allowed rules). Personally, I've been wondering/pondering the same questions mentioned in the 'discussion'.

10 years ago, a DIG was purchased separately for the AX10 Rock Crawler

The Capra Transmission is with a built-in Dig. Some disengage the Dig function, swap for the OG AX10 Tranny/SkidPlate, or Go 4WS. I HONESTLY got NO idea WHY?!

Anyways HERE's some of my own ideas regarding installing. Again if you violently disagree, please kindly ignore. PEACE!

I used the recommended SX107 to make installation easy. I wish I can a bigger Servo as tiny ones will be less tolerant to Failures in making proper EPA Setting - Overheat leading to a Premature Failure!

Please check Internal BEC settings to be at 5.5v or 6.0v -- especially if your powering the SX-107 via RX.

Make sure the Servo is Centered via Radio Setting (Sub Trim)

Install the Dig Servo/Servo Saver Horn mid-way position between 4WSD and Dig.

Size: 126.5 KB

Using Futaba 7PX Transmitter. Use your preferred Radio Set with the 3 position-switch capability.

Adjust EPA at a starting point of 20 left and 20 right.
Increased steering end points value in small increments, making sure 4WD, 2WD, and Dig properly engages and disengages.

I assigned DT4 at 100 (3 way switch) for channel 4 4WD-2WD-Dig

*do not over-tighten screw that secures horn to the servo
** Do not over tighten screw that secures hood to the dig shifter
*** I think, a little "play" is ok

BEST to Test 4WD + 2WD + Dig Functions before installing tranny into the model.

Thanks for your interest and patience. Enjoy

I'd just like to say here that YOU are almost solely responsible for what's coming my way on my birthday in a couple weeks! When the Capra hit the shelves, I had no interest... I would work on my trx4's and my other crawlers without a care in the world... happy to have what I have. But like a kid playing with fire, I watched some Capra vids and although impressed... I was still content without one. Then one day like a big ol' dummy, I opened up this thread. Well... that's where the seed began to take hold. Now I open this thread every time there's new activity... salivating, oohing & ahhing, helpless to rid my mind of this truly inspiring build. Hope you know... You're a dangerous dude to follow around!
