I'm waiting for my supershafty link relocator and servo mount as well. After driving it yesterday, the link relocator will be much welcomed if it keeps the front planted on steep climbs. I also received my front brass portal covers today... (like vitavon, but not branded vitavon). I didn't realize they were that big and they only fit inside the stock wheels or similar sized wheels. My 1.9 beadlocks are smaller. I'll have to figure out what to do with them now.

| Re: What’d you do with your goat today? I'm actually using the 3-Axis Design link riser, but I can confirm it makes a big difference in holding the nose down. With the added portal weight, it will be a whole new animal (still a goat though).

I had to let out (lengthen) the top links a bit with the links at the top position on the axle and middle position on the skid. Wasn’t liking the CVD angle at ride height. After the link adjustment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Krazed Builds portal covers. I lopped off the hanger lobes. Running Vitavons u front. Shocks are Voodoo, but don’t think I can recommend them. All four leaked installed from the package. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro Last edited by KulaHI; 12-17-2019 at 09:00 PM. | |

Got in on the pre-order for the TGH OD gears! Now I can use the OD ring gear I have in there in a different rig so it’s almost a twofer if you look at it like that haha. https://supershafty.com/products/tgh...b13e8c2f&_ss=r Also snagged the shafty rear link riser. https://supershafty.com/products/sup...b13e8c2f&_ss=r |

| Re: What’d you do with your goat today? Seems the shafts still need a little grinding even with the thinner bearings. SS even added a disclaimer on the product page. Mine definitely need grinding, I just haven't gotten around doing it yet.

First, a good/bad news updated related to me earlier reply about having to grind the rear axles in order to install the SS bearings. Second, another upgrade to my Capra, also from SS. Bad - yes, installing the bearings from SS will require grinding, and quite a bit. First, both ends of the axle will need to be slightly ground (less than 0.25mm). Next, the "disk-like" area of the axle, just past where the top portal gear sits, needs to be completely ground down/off. Since the portion of the axle where the gear is seated is 'square', and smaller in diameter than the rest of the axle shaft, grinding down/off that section won't affect the gear...it's not as if the gear could slide inside the axle housing. Good - I was wrong...I do have a way to grind down/off what's needed...and, at 8pm, that's exactly what I was doing (by 9pm, I was finished, everything was installed, the rear portals were back together, and I had texted them to make sure they were rotating properly, without any binding...and they're working perfectly. Turns out my good 'ol Dremel kit came with a grinding stone bit. Before I started, both rear portal covers (along the top), with the SS bearings installed, and with all 4 screws tightened, were sticking out a little over 0.5mm. After grinding both axles exactly as I described, above, work everything back together, the rear portal covers are perfectly flush with the rear portal housings. After installing the SS rear portal bearings, I decided I might as well install the SS rear upper link relocation bracket. To install, you'll need 2 additional 3x14mm buttonhead screws. Here's what it looks like installed: And with the rear upper links reinstalled: ~ More peace, love, laughter & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place |

| Re: What’d you do with your goat today? Isn't the goal to have the upper and lower links parallel? Or maybe that's just something I picked up with my old SCX10.

| Re: What’d you do with your goat today? I don't mean parallel while looking from above. I mean parallel while looking from the side. Again it was a question. I believe I've seen it mentioned on RCC too. Im not sure what to search for to explain it better.
