Some stuff bolted up.

Braces for bumper brackets, Blue Monkey Ti steering, servo plate etc., coming up. Going to make skidplate from bottom of front crossmember to bottom of bumper too.

Blue Monkey High Steer links installed with Axial aluminum c-hubs and High Steer knukcles. Gettin full travel steering, Axial CVDs showing accelerated wear after only a couple test sessions on the rocks, so I'm going to need some better CVDs soon...some cut down XR universals are looking like the best option to replace my worn CVDs.

Front Axial Jeep JK bumper mounted, lifted, braced, done and tested!!! Love this bumper setup and my Blue Monkey High Steer kit along with Axial High Steer knuckles! Tons of steering, everything is up out of the way. Matt at Blue Monkey was good to work with and hooked me up with parts I needed.

I need to make some front inner fenders...looking for best material, going to check Dollar store for some Ziploc brand lightweight containers.

Rebuilt my stock Axial shocks using Traxxas #7062 shock rebuild kit o-rings in place of the Axial black plastic spacer (between the two existing red o-rings), filled with fresh oil and crawled all afternoon, no more leaks!

You're welcome, I really like the compressed and extended length (looks more scale too) of the stock shocks and was getting very frustrated with the leaks. Thanks for the comment too.

My Honcho setup with Axial chubs and High steer knuckles is working great, but I'm in process of grinding the metal balls in the Revo ends down thinner so that the tie rod moves up a tad higher and also get a little more up travel on the driver's side, drag link hits frame during compression before the tie rod on passenger side. Works great, lots of steering and good travel, zero bumpsteer. By grinding the end link balls thinner, they still have enough range of motion without binding, but the tie rod has moved up several millimeters and the drag link down a couple millimeters...win win situationi, all while keeping the linkage very close to the axle as R2J said ( more steering? ) with the Axial parts. For best results I run a little toe out, it still tracks straight but really helps it steer even tighter.

Update on my front suspension. I cut down some Traxxas Revo black steel linkage rods and set them up so that they are 122mm eye to eye same as the wasted Axial bent aluminum lowers (they've been through a lot!) and installed them as my front lower links.

Thanks and post up if you have any questions! It's a lot of work to build and then fine tune a good crawler.
