Thanx a lot.

And there are others with way more skills than me. Doesn't matter the skill level, just build.

I think "Sinister" is a better choice of description.

Wow. You have definitely put some serious time in this. That being said your time surely from my end looks to be paying off. That is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. You have done an awesome job.

I got my grill emblem done today.

Toyota have their letters, Icon has their lizard, and I got my angry trout.

In this pic, you can see the fillets on the layers of plate, which were formed by epoxy's meniscus flow.

I know it's a little big, but I aint gonna attempt to carve smaller. I used the reflected light to show it's detail a little better. My camera is old and cheap, and doesn't like close ups.

Got me winch sorted out, after the stock RC4WD one popped.

I contacted Chris @ GCM with a plan.

He made an awesome winch spool. Twin-ended in case I need to go to the next step, with 2-Pololu 1000:1's in each side.

The biggest improvement I think, is the spool and motor shafts are now bearing-supported. This should take a lot of strain of the motor.

BEARING ACTION

It's also brazed steel, so it should be tough.
The gear box was encased with some glass fiber plate, to keep out the mud.

Here's a mock-up with twin motors for the effect.

Thanx again Chris, and let's hope this first motor does the job.

A little more progress. Blacked-out the electronic bits and wiring (removed the Crawlmaster first), and then did the Savox. All to help hide things with the body on.

And speaking of body, got all the panels cast. They just need to be cleaned up, and assembled on to the interior structure.

I'm happy you're impresed, and hopefully inspired. There are so many wicked builds on this forum, it's easy to miss builds.

Builder's passion! And it's really fun. Thanx for your praise.

Just finished painting some shackles:

Here's some of the panels tack-glued in place. The panels bond right to the exposed wood core edges:
