Here's how the bumper looks before installing.

Here I'm making the rear body mount bracket out of styrene. The rear screw neat the Axial logo, I had to drill a hole in the frame and use a screw and nut.

This is the first test of all front lights lit up at once. They sure lit up the garage. Can't wait to get this baby out at night.

I got the rear bumper wired up. Since I had a long run of wire to the front I used 1/8" spiral wrap to cover the wires. Once I'm happy with everything I finalize the wiring and shrink the tubing that needs shrinking.

I have only one mini DPDT toggle switch installed right now. It's for the headlamps and bumper lights. Second switch will be for rock lights and maybe light bar.

Since I've finished most of the lighting on the red rig I've started working on rig 2. Need to finish the body mounts. Got the front done. Once they are done, I will pull the wheel wells and body mounts and get them painted. Once they done and remounted I will get the body painted.

Dingo 2 is going to get painted a yellow color similar to this. The only I Haven't decided is to paint the inside or outside. The red Dingo I painted the outside. So I'm leaning towards the outside for realism.

Test fitting the red Dingo on chassis #2. This chassis has wheel wells and I wanted to make sure they clear the lights I installed. Had to make a few adjustments and it fit very good.

Few pics of wheel wells and flexing a little.

Still need to clean up wiring on chassis one.

Yeah! They are starting to shape up. Need to finish up second set of wheel wells and get all the styrene painted black.

Got the rear body mount bracket made. All that's left is the wheel wells.

I'm stating to clean up the wiring. The Hitec servo must have had 12" wires and then on top of that is all the wire from the Castle BEC. Really hard to ditch or hide all this. I might have to cut and splice wires to make it look cleaner. I did try to put the BEC in the box and if I remember right, it caused glitches.

Great idea on the inside fenders! I have a dingo kit coming in a few days and was thinking of trying to make some inner fenders to help keep off road debris (dang fir and pine needles!) and rocks being thrown from the tires all over the inside of the body.

PS +1 for firefly sig quote :-)

If you decide to make wheel wells, be mindful of the fender flares back mounts. I didn't and they should have been higher. When I make my second set I'll see if they will fit better and if it's easier to put body on. After been out mudding some, I wish I had them on the first rig.

Firefly was/is a great show!

After looking at my wiring while organizing it, It came to me that I had or could require power from chassis connection to body. I had two connectors, one for power and one for bumper lights to switch. Realized I didn't need to do that. Got it down to one.

Went from this:

Front bumper looked empty. It needed something hanging from it.

So I made a tow rope from some old string line I used fence building. I opened up the rope and weaved the end of the rope into itself and then added heat shrink. I pulled as hard as I could and it only tightens on itself. Even if it didn't work, it looks good.
