Everyone's arguing about what the truck does and doesn't have, that it looks bad, that it isn't good enough. That may be for you, but for a noob like me (and I'm sure I'm not the only noob in this thread), it's more than enough. I've been looking for something that doesn't have a long list of cons, and I may have found it here. My next truck only needs to crawl well, and by the looks of the video, this might deliver. If it doesn't I'm still buying it though - it just looks amazing...

They obviously are not paying attention to the market. Everybody is building front motor trucks with divorced transfer cases like ToyZuki. Even HPI had this figured out before they went south. People are also downsizing parts and getting rid of weight so they can put it where they want. This is why that massive transmission makes absolutely no sense. Then there's the body. This body has been done to death in the RC world and 1:1 world. Most of us, except for the diehards, are sick of Jeeps. Axial needs to clean house and hire new engineers because this truck isn't good enough.

Fair observations, but what was your opinion after driving it?

This must be your first time witnessing the birth of a new Axial kit.

It isn't. I just think it's funny watching people beat each other up on different parts of the truck.

The poor "parts bin" guys have nothing to whine about. I pity them most of all.

There's always going to be people that are never satisfied with a new release, I don't think there has been one Axial release that has got a completely positive response from these boards. Most of these guys that complain about them you just have to ignore and move on. I've never had a new Axial release that was a flop, and each one brings new involvement to the hobby.

Even though people are shit talking the bulky rearwards mounted transmission, and that it dont have a divorced transfer case does not mean they say it is bad. Maybe they just had some quite different expentations. I know i did.
I was hoping on a simple transmission, and off course a divorsed tf-case.
Who needs 2 speed anyway today, you just put in a motor that suits you. with whats available in brushed and brushless you get exactly what speed you want regarding high and low speed, or both for that matter.
