The way he went down was just tragic. Most probably misjudged his path.

Pilot likely blacked out from G forces, it's happened before at air shows.

Only thing worse than hearing the same Metallica song 10x a day on the radio is hearing the bagpipe version just once.

Living in New England, I can say that I would like the Dropkick Murphys to go away, as well...

I liked them for a short time back in the early 90's along with Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Static X, Primus, Korn, Pietasters, etc. I was also a huge Metallica fan back in the day... saw 'em 3x ( twice with Cliff!). But I swear, no matter how much I might otherwise dig a certain song, it gets old quick when it's constantly being played everywhere.

The 90s more or less killed my interest in new music. When the "Flannel-Clad Fascists" got their moment of glory, they pretty much dictated that all music must be an artistic statement. NO FUN ALLOWED!!! By the time what was left of rock 'n roll emerged from that train-wreck, everything I was hearing sounded rehashed. When I hear bands like Inglorious or Gretta van Fleet, all I can think is that I've heard this before and liked it better the first time around.

I'm sorry.

If they are so well liked in PA, I'll see if I can export them your way.

The who? I've never heard of the FCF, thankfully!

One of my all-time favorite bands and one of the best bands in history came out of the 90's - Pearl Jam.

Don't we already have them in the US? I mean they are American guys pretending to be Irish, right?

If you weren't being sarcastic...

I use that as a general term for the art-snobs that came out of the 90s music scene. The ones that loved to ridicule the mainstream but were lining up to sign a major record deal and get exposure. Pretentious wanks like Kurt Cobain saying "I can't believe people make music to make the scene and get chicks..." while having no issues taking millions from Geffen. Oh... Don't dare to actually have any kind of technique on your instrument. Then you are a "no-feel technician" and not an ARTIST!!! After all, a true artist doesn't need any kind of technical knowledge...

No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I hate the "they are sellouts" thinking. Of course, they sold out! They want to make music and not be poor.

Yeah those were the hipsters of the 90's. I don't remember what we called them then, but each generation has had their own hipsters and douchebags.

Getting killed in a Corvette. going 0 mph. couldnt get more unlucky.

Quote:
McKINNEY, Texas - The storms Thursday night may have caused the death of a driver in Collin County.

Texas Department of Public Safety Lt. Lonny Haschel a tree fell onto a Corvette in the parking lot of the privately-owned Zinger Bat Ballpark in McKinney, near Highway 380 and Interstate 75.

A man inside the car was killed instantly. Officials have not yet released his name.

There was a youth baseball practice at the ballpark Thursday night. A fellow parent who knows the victim said he believes he was there to either drop off or pick up his son from practice.

Haschel said troopers are still investigating what caused the tree to fall. There was severe weather in the area at the time.

Sad yes but two things make it perfect so to speak. No pain and dying in what is/was probably a life long dream car.
