I don't know about that. Just tell him to try and reset all the settings like put low voltage cut off on and etc...

He tried to reset all settings. When it did it the lights flashed but he said it was supposed to beep or make some sort of noise and it wasn't doing that. I'm not sure. Mine will be here today so I guess ill find out soon enough.

i haven't had the clinking noise, but did this mod just cause and it's cheap to do. also trim the the lowers bolts so you don't hang up on them. it drove me nuts till i trimmed mine.

Ok so my B1-r just arrived. Should I still use my CC BEC or just run off of the B1-r?

Well I got everything all soldered up on the B1-r and converted over to deans ultra plugs instead of mini deans. Plug everything in and Poof! Smoke from the B1-r! Everything hooked up right double and tripple checked. Not sure what the problem was.

Thanks! I was just hoping it wasn't something I did as a Newb to soldering this sorta stuff. I can do Automotive wiring no problem but this stuff is like working on micro machines! Appreciate the info, so that I don't worry about myself making a mistake.

Alright! Update time! Finally got my B1-r back on saturday but I was out of town camping for Fathers Day Weekend. Just got it soldered up tonight along with a splice for the CC BEC installed everything quickly just so I could run it. Ran great except i'm going to have to play with the settings. I had to switch the way the motor ran on the reciever. Which is actually now the regular way again. Going to mess with the brake and stuff after I get a permanent mounting setup for the electronics. Ran great though, no problems what so ever. Even snapped a couple of pics of the night run!

I snapped a few shots of the electronics this morning to show the B1-r layout. Now I just have to figure out how to stuff all of this stuff in this small chassis! I spliced a second hook up off of the battery power wires with a second Deans plug for the CC BEC other than that it is all normal. The plug with the white ground wire is for the motor.

A shot of how the battery and BEC go on the spliced plug. I used some whiteout on either side of the plugs for the BEC so that I attached them in the right spots.

And a small mess of wires.

Got going on the overdrive front lastnight . Couple comparison pics.

Seems to be as rough spot when it turns though. I had alot of clicking in the front when it would bind even after bolting through the housing. Going to run it and see how it goes.

might need a little shimming of it, some have had to and some don't have to. i got mine to where i can turn it without binding it will still feel rough but not like it is binding.

It doesn't bind at all. Just one rough spot. If I shimmed it that would move the pinion closer to the ring and would make it worse.

i played with mine couple time till i got it they way it is now first shimmed the pinion then no shims then a shim on the ring gear side of the diff and that where it felt the best and remembered that it will feel rough.

Finally got to run it some. Gear mesh seems fine. Now my crappy tower pro servo is acting weak. Overall runs great. Gotta work on the throttle profile some but all is well now.

Well looks like on top of a pos servo, my brood frenzy is taking a crap on me already. Motor cuts in and out of signal for no reason. If I give it a tap or a small drop to the Crawler it starts running again. Time for a new brushed alternative. ..
