These rules are hard to tell from the photo-
  • the chassis (including bumpers) must be 3" longer than the wheelbase (this includes a chassis with a truggy rear frame).
  • A front bumper is required and must be mounted to the vehicle's rail chassis and must be wider than the outside of the chassis rails (chassis cross rails do not count as bumpers)

We would let you run at our Comp's, but we arn't picky.

Hi guys!

If I add rear fender wells to a stock Honcho, do I get -1 points for it?

The point being, there are no rear fenders per say in the Honcho bed...

I would say no. But you are still getting tube bed point and -1 or more is not that hard to come up with usually.

Yeah I was using the RTR honcho just to make the question simpler.

My (very-non-RTR) Honcho is currently somewhere around -30p.

ok, have read this whole thread and few questions popped out..

This is my wraiths drop box at back, quite similar to Dinkys.. clearly this doesnt count as drop bed as previusly stated but does this give -1 fo 3D gargo area?

And second question:
From where do you measure wraiths widht of chassis, for widht of bumpers being awarded for points? At our forum Scrap remembered something like the skidplate + tubes attached to it..?

edit:
Well, went already and made some kind of bumper...

~1,5cm wider than the skidplate...

You must run a full rail chassis, and the chassis (including bumpers) must be 3" longer than the wheelbase (this includes a chassis with a truggy rear frame).

how would be the best why to measure for this

Center of axle straight up and then across to end of frame/bumper

And the 3" would be split between front and rear

My wraith is for class 3, and it is according to this topic legal in that class..

Question about Wraiths "chassis widht" remains..

If there is can you show me were and a dissriptuion of what is a load and what is not...

I am not talking TVP style or mega truck I mean a simple adjustment for link angle or center of gravity.

Measure chassis tip to tail, measure wheelbase.... subtract WB from Chassis length... is there greater than 3" difference ? If so you are good. It doesnt matter where the 3" lies in relation to the axles.

I know this has been covered before, But what is the final verdict on the legality of RC4WD 1.9 Boggers in Class 2?

I've heard they are legal, but RC4WD site says 4.79"? However...My calipers read 4.75" on the nose.

We have a comp this weekend and people are asking!

Does the rear storage area in a Newbright tj or jk count as a drop bed? Or would that just get the -1 for SUV cargo area

Can you get points for a rear stinger as well as a front one?

Thanks for the good question. I would say no because of how it is stated in the rule as Stinger/grill guard, meaning front of rig.

Bumpers: (items must be chassis mounted and separate from the body)
• Bumpers: metal -3 each, plastic -1 each
Stinger/grill guard: -1

When comparing a bumper for C1 specs do you count it against the windshield at its widest point or its narrowest point? (it can vary greatly on some bodies)

The stinger/grill guard would have to be in front to count. To many variables if we allow it in the rear.

If your windshield varies in width, I'd average it. If it's 5" at the top and 6" at the bottom, your bumper should be 5 1/2" wide. Only way to be fair.

Just curious about the variables. I have full front and rear bumpers, both with stingers and winch mounts. C2 rig.
