Well there, you just answered your own question. It's hard for me to tell from the pictures if it's dovetailed in back, but I am looking at the pictures from my phone in the dark at a ferry terminal north of Seattle......

Well I guess I'm not going to state championship because I just read one of the things that said the trail class is not a builders class its for stock rigs with Bolton parts.I think I'll try and go to the scale challenges.

Thanks

Yep I am outlawed from the trail class also with my trail truck. However if you want to buy a new wraith and run 4ws you are fine. LOL

Both sets of rules turn people away. Not what I would consider a way to promote growth. Although the rules are more concrete. 6.0 Knuckle weights or weighted knuckles are not permitted. Non of this " I am a vegetarian but I occasionally eat bacon because I love it so much stuff ".

Yeh here in Albuquerque we are loose with the trail class rules sense this is the first year were running them. i was going to go to the AZ shootout but all i can do is the G6. oh-well i build my rig how i like it but i guess i never should have boatsided it because now i cant even run class2 at a scale challenge. but its all for fun and 50% of the fun is building the rigs right.

So it's legal to add weight to your axle but not to your knuckle? Or is that going to change for this year or next?

BTW those trail class rules are a bit of a joke. According to the rules you are NOT allowed to run a stock Dingo because the wheelbase is more than 1/2" shorter than the official wheelbase for the SCX chassis. I pointed it out to them but they seem to have not read it.

Yeah they are a bit of a joke especially because its basically only for stock rigs with Bolton's if you ask me that's not a very good way to get people in to comps sence anyone with custom or heavily modified rigs can't run in it. And thats stupid about the dingo because its still a scx10.

The restrictions for Trail Class will be changed this week to loosen the class, along with an Open Trail class being created that will be for builders and folks that don't care about rules so much.

Just a suggestion John but if class 2 scale trucks were allowed it may really bump up the participants. My class 2 fails in 2 areas. Weight and it's 12 3/4" wb. It's just a scale truck though.

I love it how it is. And not going to change it for a trail class. It's currently class two legal and not anything close to a sporty or even a wraith with 4ws.

Shoot it's got a wooden flat bed for Petes sake! LOL

The USRCCA has new ownership now, and I'm listening!

whoops, just saw this thread was created for SORCCA rules discussions. We will need another thread for RCCA class discussions.

I don't think so. My big RC trip this year is to the Rocky Mountain Scale Nats in April. It's a little more difficult for me to get to the east coast.

If they look scale then yes.

Listen, we aren't trying to be scale Nazi's here. There just has to be a set of guidelines to keep things looking scale. If you build the truck right and learn to drive it, you don't need a bunch of extra weight down there. The top scale drivers in the nation don't add a bunch of weight to their rigs to make them perform better.
