Running the mog in class 1 and 2 with tire change. I don't know if Jerry did or not.

In class 1. My powerwagon has the stock 1.9 ripsaw's on it and the factory spec's show to be larger "• 4.3" (109mm) tall for extreme ground clearance"(than. "• 106mm / 4.19" Max tire size including spares."
So this bumps my truck to the class 2 ?

It would be fine, the Mog meets both class requirements. And I'm pretty sure Jerry did. Seems like Chino did too, with his Mog.

With the stock Ripsaws it would get bumped up to C2.

Yes I ran class 2 and 3 with only a tire change, the truck was class 2 legal which covers class 3 of course. But I would ask the event organizers, I can't remember if it was Tims event or Montana you couldn't share trucks or run the same truck in multiple classes. There's nothing in the rules about either, so I would say yes but I don't matter.

If I have a dig on my SCX do I have to remove it to run class 2 or can I just not use it?

You can just not use it, but be warned that if you engage it you will be DQ'd on that course. It's always best to mechanically lock something like that out with a screw or bracket.

I had thought this was not allowed because of the "no touchy after tech".
One of the series I compete in is talking about doing this... but hasn't decided yet.

Never heard of no touch after tech. And I sure hope it doesn't come to my area. LOL

At SWSC in Utah last year and again this year in Red Rocks, C1 and C3 were on one day the C2 the next. So you tech each day.

Eric, check with Ty to make sure for Rocky Mountain Nationals.

New guy to comps so these might be dumb questions.
1- Are lexan bodies allowed?
2- If so my truck body has bumpers molded into the front of it. Do I have to add a bumper in front of the molded one to qualify?
3 - Can the electronics be seen from the bottom and just not from the sides or top?
4 - If I have blacked out windows? I'm currently running blacked out windows because I don't have an interior. Will I be penalized in points for this?

Do I have to add a bumper in front of the molded one to qualify? molded bumpers are legal in Class 1, Class 2 you would need at least a front bumper attached to the chassis. However, any metal or plastic bumper mounted to the chassis is just that many more scale point you can earn
3 - Can the electronics be seen from the bottom and just not from the sides or top? Yes, but it is worth the effort to hide them the best you can. I like to use electronics project boxes to hide most of mine, plus it keeps them safe and dry.
4 - If I have blacked out windows? I'm currently running blacked out windows because I don't have an interior. Will I be penalized in points for this? No penalty for not having an interior. But if you can make one either 2D or 3D, that's again more scale points
Just remember, the more you can do to make it scale, the more point you can get. But you also don't have to do it all at once either, just have fun with it and do what you can when you can.

With good driving and a good truck you usually never have to winch. But there is always that one course! LOL
I hate losing too, and coming 2nd lol. Your days are numbered good sir. I got a scope on you and GIJoe lol.

Ty confirmed in his rules post it was fine as long as the truck met class rules.

I didnt know you changed tires, I thought you had your c2 tires in c3

I challenge you to run it in c2 and c3 without a tire change this year
