Just had to field test rear bar, for 3 hours! What a NOOB! It's taken me 2 years to realise you can slide battery part of controller in your pocket to free up you hands to do stuff. 2 years of tucking it under my arm, or setting it down, or fumbling and dropping it... |

Im having a lot of fun trail running the Bronco, it's just a fun little truck, It may not climb the extra steep stuff as good as longer crawlers but it's my first choice over the K10 for trail runs. If you have the Bronco and wondered if you should of got a Blazer or K10, then don't worry about it. The Bronco is cool! On my K10 I have Straightened up my rear shocks, surprised how much difference a small change in angle can effect the spring rate! Hoping to attend the upcoming RC4WD Australian challenge, so getting my head around the SORRCA rules they will run the event under. I want to run in class 2 'trail' so I had to build a simple front bar, that bolts to the chassis and is wider than the chassis. It's a work in progress... I also need to disconnect battery tray from front axle and fix it to chassis. I think most everything else is ok. Last edited by Yeti.stealth; 06-28-2017 at 03:05 AM. |

Nice bumpers for Bronco and K10, the RC4WD comp should be a blast! Stood up rear shocks climbing better? How's those wheels treating you, mount up tires easy on them? |

The wheels are great, Jconcepts tyres mounted easily, I have never tried to mount the Vaterra tyres on them but they should be ok I believe. I think straightening up the rear shocks has helped, loaded up the back with spare tyre and home made ground anchor then hit my test track, the K10 still climbs all the lines it could before! Finally wore out the stock RTR motor today, half a battery pack in and it was low on power, noisey, sparking and running hot. Hobby shop has HPI Saturn 35t can motors in stock, I will get one tomorrow. Also got to remember to chassis mount batt tray for SORRCA rules and test drive it again. Couple pics from today. |

Experimenting with making a YouTube vid. Not much to see, and quality a bit poor. Still learning how to. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=VmVmuyrTjjQ Last edited by Yeti.stealth; 12-14-2017 at 12:23 AM. |

Someone showed me the lug cut on crawler inovations FB page that they recommend for an even more aggressive Scorpio. The rules I run under don't allow any tyre mods, one day I might do the lug cut... | |

Truck is running great, winch working fine, home made ground anchor installed. Only questionable thing under their rules would be the lead sinkers that are hot glued in the front wheels, they can be popped out as 1 big piece if they don't pass scrutineering so easily fixed on the day if need be. Looking forward to the RC4WD Australian Challenge! |

Comp day tomorrow woohoo! I will run the rig set up for RC4WD Australian Challenge so I can test out how it handles. Got all my stuff I need for the challenge, tow ropes, winch, home made pull pal, home made sand ladders, spare tyre. Took the spring steel drive bands off my old Mecano steam engine and used them as hold down straps. They are flexible spring steel bands, one end is tapered, you can thread them around roll bars etc and screw the ends together, they are also very stretchy. Model steam engine drive band power a saw The drive band ends, one is tapered. The two ends screw together. Home made pull pal has a peg it sits over with a body clip through it to hold it in place |

A few pics from comp day, a great day on the coast with whale migration in full swing, crowds all day whale watching. They come in very close to this rocky point and pods passing by constantly. Truck ran fine but I sucked, couldn't drive to save my life on the day..... Traxxas TRX4 with a different body, stock RTR chassis. It performed extremely well! Judging by what I saw on the day, if you are on the fence about getting one, don't hesitate! |

Sat the body on the tyres, looks awesome! Day dreaming about a slammed and lowered full droop minimal chassis with portal axles and shock towers sticking up thru the hood! |

Sweet Meccano steam engine and driven saw! I've still got my Meccano, but no steam engine, have gear reduction electric motor with attached iirc 12 speed gearbox. Quote:
