That's the truth I should know because I'm old and haven't been listening for a looong time.

It's a interesting observation Roland, does the man make the car or the car the man?

Probably not a bad idea, let's wait an see how this battle shapes up. Might need to petition for a couple of guys before this is over.

I'll most likely be going up against him and his sportsman next weekend. He kills me every time, but I'll be watching very closely...

It's running against tough competition that inspires us all, there is no greater motivation than running a shaft truck in the MOA class for example.

I still can't believe the Sporty class is growing again it's a dream come true, I just wasn't turned on by the 1.9s.

Phhft. Shane isn't even on my radar when I'm comping. He's so far out of range its ridiculous. It is fun to watch him drive though.

Yeah its good to see the shafties coming back.

Yep. Last year we had 3 trucks max at every comp. We kicked off this year with 7 trucks and 1 couldn't show. I think once more people see what a well built shafty can do they will be more inclined to build a truck for the class. So let's keep these sweet builds up top

Like everyone else that has build a custom shaft truck over the past year, I am liking it better than my MOA. But hey, I am rebuilding my MOA right now too.

It's a cool spot. This will be my 4 year of going to Fake Dams. First every NWARC comp was up there.

You're right, the 20 pts is pushing it too far.

How about we just say that one of your front tires must be a 1.9 Flat Iron, stock height? Left or right side, your choice.

ARCC Sportsman Course 2.

Check out 2:08-2:43. That gate was not as easy as it looked. My MOA struggled with it but I took a different line.

I could deal with that but it would have to be on the back and I would be allowed to sipe the lugs and sand the side lugs off.

Very nice! You turned that dusty old FF-4 into a great machine Glad I still had one when you asked for it.

Yep, I knew the FF-4 had great link geometry, I just wanted the skid raked up some. Great chassis.
I still have the FF-4 complete package hanging on the wall if you ever need it back. It did get a little scuffed up from using it as a template, not bad though.

I have a feeling that the class will end up being the benchmark for drivers and builders.

I hope we have a good turn out at the MNRCRC we haven't had a Sportsman Class for a couple of years. So if I'm the only one it will be a 100% increase. I know of a couple of guys building up Sporty rigs so I won't be the Lone Sportsman, not that a mask would be a bad idea.

Shane the vid is fantastic that last series of gates were sweet nice driving.

Good point, the man and the car are in fact one.

Actually I think it's just the AX sub-forum. It's so post heavy that it would probably hoard all the available bandwidth if everyone could embed video.

The very bottom left of every page will let you know if HTML is "on" or "off."

My bad. I should have phrased that as "the only tech section that matters".
