Ok, got some crawling in today an everything worked great! I'll get back to that tho.. LOL..
Video test number one... I was rushing the first part of the crawl.. oh well. Here goes..

http://s1147.photobucket.com/albums/...=VIDEO0002.mp4

Ok, back to the crawling part, I got a few pics of the rear lower links..

I have yet to find myself getting hung up with the new links, I tried an tried to get hung up! Couldn't do it...

Next one shows where I would of been stuck with the older ones..

With my tires a good half inch from the rocks..

This one is just how nice it is to get the rear tires to the rock..

Don't worry, I will continue to find a hang up with these lower rears. See how long it takes an how much effort it takes to find that. I can tell now, without a doubt, a huge plus to the chaotic line up!

Huge shout out to Marc at chaotic for being so easy to work with an great service an fast replies!

Thanks guys. I'm goin to find a away to mount my phone to my tx or something so I can get more video soon.. now I got one, I got lots to get!

These links are re-dic-u-lous! I know there not the easiest to make, had a couple discussions bout it... But well worth the added price!

I have noticed many added benefits with these links.. smoother full articulation, added clearance while crawling, the worst thing to get caught on is ur motor an rear axle with them. I have also noticed that with the shape they take between the link ends keeps the lowest bend up higher an at a better angle it catches less, allows for more of a glide over the rocks...

Thanks samson..

Well, I didn't do anything to my rig today but crawl.. before I went out, as my AA batteries are getting low, I decided to run Lipo in my tx.. I soldered in a 5v bec an deans plug to my Dx3c so I could run 2s or 3s if needed. I liked it! Not to mention, a couple Lipo are lighter an cheaper then carrying around AA batteries.. rechargeable, last longer, etc...

So since the mt-4 I'm running is setup to be able for Lipo to start with, I didn't need a bec, that an I have plenty of 2s to run in it.. so I just took a rx end an soldered a deans plug to that.

Plug it all in..

Then It all fits in very nicely.. I started with a smaller 2s but it took some of the balanced feel out of the tx..

After that I went to throw a few packs thru the Switch.. man does it just work! The Dlux wheels really do make it run better! Haha, I read that somewhere, an It's true... Maybe its just the weight, the rear links, the drive time, right setup, driver, or just all of it combined.. anyway it works, it WORKS!

Edit.. yes, I wired the wires backwards, so I just Switched the wires at the rx plug..

I finally got my wiring done.. seems like its been a couple weeks, months.. after dropping 8.5g of wiring, I went with a spliter form Chris the battery man for my servo/bec connection. Added power from one esc to the rx.. seems to have a little extra snap now. No surge from steering to esc draw.. now for my favorite part, the pics..

No more rats nest between the smashed esc's an my motor!

And last, for now, my new servo guard..

Thanks Ev, keep ur eyes peeled, they will be coming up in a new build, along with servo guard an rear axle brace, for now.. more to come.. but it hunting season tomm, so it will be on hold for more stuff, then red CF rings for the mini.. the beadlock rings are a huge savings over the slw rings. By 6 grams, which is 24g per set of wheels, add the servo guard in at less then 4g's, it close to an oz of weight savings...

Thanks Christian.. I like it so far. I have noticed the cross brace just so slightly touches my rx. Which only happens when I get flipped over, but since haven had the esc recalibrate on any hard roll overs, so I'm happy with that as well.

Thanks Everett, it was in front of our house.. it just appeared there one day.. I think my wife was helping out some with my home course.. lol.. always good to have the wife doing some work around the house!

Yeah Christian, I can't wait to get the vvd's in an test them out.. the rig has been a little touchier since it got colder out, also the Bc's don't seem to grip as well.. I think its time for The winter tires to go on....

Been a little while, time for some updates..

I took the pins off as they weren't working as well now that its cold out. Back to the slw's an the rovers, CI foams with med outers all around..
They have been working awesome! As they normally do..

I decided it was time for the vp Vvds to go in, so I tore down an got ready.

I also took the xr steering arm off an replaced it with a wraith steering arm.. I have CW steering arms coming for them..

While I was changing the steering arm, I also screwed my drag link back short an reset my horn..

I also adjusted my epa, from 113/150 to 90/115 lock to lock..

All back together..

Cool Re: wanting a winner.. Xr-10 build thread

Looking nice with all those upgrades! You should see my steering arms in the mail today One little note, you may have to sand the back side of the steering arm ever so slightly to make it fit with the D-Lux weights but hope that isn't an issue
