| Re: the WTH thread is back! Exactly! But these days people survive shit like that so it makes people feel comfortable texting and driving, running red lights and stop signs and just not paying attention. It adds to our culture of not having to experience consequences for stupid actions. We are preventing Darwinism from ruling.

| Re: the WTH thread is back! Wow is right! I'd never attempt that because I hate heights, but this is a good reminder to avoid those "tourist attractions" that often aren't regulated. Parasailing is another activity to avoid if you value your safety. If you don't believe me spend 5 minutes on YouTube seeing all of the accidents. |

This story is over a year old, but I'm just seeing it now. Suzuki issued a recall for a single, 21 year old car. And they are replacing a motor because the original block was missing a stamp. Why Suzuki Issued A Recall For One 21-Year-Old Cappuccino - The Drive |

I think stance is universally hated by everybody except the tiny stancers. But doing it to a Ferrari is going too far! |

The term is "stanced". And it's just like anything, like lift kits for example. It can be done right and tastefully, or you can completely ruin it like that Ferrari. This is stanced done right; the truck obviously didn't have that stance from the factory. |

Well the term "stance" has changed a bit and mainly refers to massive amounts of camber (driving on the tires sidewall) not so much just being slammed/lowered. I wouldnt class that C10 as "stanced"

Call it whatever you want, but the "stance" of that C10 has definitely changed from the way it left the factory. And it most definitely has had some camber change up front likely for better cornering. I stand by my statement, you can do it right, or you can completely eff it up beyond belief. Some of the stanced cars I'd love to have a rip down some of my favorite mountain back roads because they were done right with performance as the goal. Some of them, the ones that are effed up, would actually handle worse than stock due to having so much camber that they have no contact patch anymore. I like lifted rigs too. But take a look at the Carolina squat truck fad. Proof you can eff that up too. |

Why does a time machine need 45* of positive camber?

Just wait until you get into the Stretched vs Meaty tires Stretched, if you already know, it where they try and put a narrow tire on a wide rim. Meaty, apparently, is where you put a wider than normal tire on a rim. For example, my 200 and XJ both have 7" wide factory rims (Stock were 18×7 with 225/50R18 for the 200, 15×7 with 215/75R15 for the XJ, respectively), I've seen where people have put 225 width tires on 8"-11" with sidewalls ranging from 35 Series to 45 or 50 series tires. My two, both running their factory wheels are running 235's on all 4 corners, with the stock sidewall measurement, which apparently means a 235 width tire on a 7" wide rim is apparrently considered "Meaty", maybe extra meaty. | |
