I don't think that is so mush "sports car" as it is "show car" there when it comes to cambered, stretched, and slammed (well, any slammed really) cars or trucks. Some lowering and camber helps, especially with a wider wheel and tire combo if you want to drive, inparticularly like the stuff Stangkiller does. | |

Yeah, that's why I mentioned earlier some do it tastefully for better performance, and some just want the attention from going overboard. I've seen a lot of high end sports cars that are "stanced" though, and ruined for it. I know the stretched tire thing is popular with drifters and Japanese car culture. And like anything, it can look good, or be ruined.

I think that there's a definite line between performance and car show/stupid-mods-that-don't-belong-on-the-streets. Most of those things on the streets have nose dived into the latter category and it would be a waste of breath to try to explain to the idiots doing the mods as to why it's literally ignorant to do those things, because if they had any actual knowledge of suspensions and steering systems, they wouldn't be doing that stupid crap to begin with.

I don't know how to embed Facebook videos, but here's a stance douche getting stuck in an innocent intersection. https://www.facebook.com/christivnr/...8858213152215/ |

I'm mildly claustrophobic, but rarely put myself into situations where it becomes an issue. But this is one of those things in life that always makes me cringe. Sanctum bothered me more than any gory horror movie ever could. |

I'm severely claustrophobic. This would give me a heart attack. And to quote 2mtech..."FUUUUUUUUUUUUU no."

And just WTF is it with all these douchebags "stance-ing" their cars. I mean really!? Let's take a perfectly good vehicle, spend a shit ton of money, and make it handle worse and look like shit! I had a '92 Golf GTI back in the day. I did upper and lower stress members front and rear. 1.5" lowering kit on eibachs, 55 series tires, vented rotors, Jacobs ignition, K&N cool air induction, rear seat delete, full cage, etc, etc, etc. Basically, everything I did and spent money on made it better. Corner better. Stop better. Accelerate better. I just don't get this stance FAD!? Last edited by mewalsh100; 10-15-2018 at 05:58 PM. |
