fix expo Not sure what your asking here
fix the epa saving Make sure when you have the EPA set to what you want short click (enter) then press the back button, will get you back to the main screen (with the model you have selected's name) I think this is what what your asking
45 second backlight at the main screen (with your models name) long click, model and name will flash back and forth, f should be the first thing you see-this is the firmware you have, mine says 041, at this point its the latest like LosiKid says to upgrade to this firmware. Rotate the enter button clockwise to the L, short click (press enter once fast) this is the time, rotate till it says 45S, short click again, then long click..should be back to the main screen.
epa to 150 same as 45 second backlight but rotate till you see E.POINT light up, short click, set your desired epa max...short click, then long click to get back to main screen
low voltage at 8v same as 45 second backlight but rotate till you see LOW POWER!!, short click, rotate to the desired voltage...short click again, then long click and you will be at the main screen.
and trims to 99 and -99 not sure

hows that?!?!?!

I think this person found these specs somewhere and simply wants this radio. its all the same kit. all the things listed are basic things done in the first firmware i believe. the new firmware does this and more so just buy the kit, flash the firmware and you will have those options

Yeah, you know what Spoo..I didn't say that mine is hacked and flashed...not sure if the shorts radio is hacked or flashed...and not sure if these steps work with non hacked radios....

After doing alot of research about which radio to purchase i choose to get the gt3b cause of price and the ability of numerous upgrades once i decide to hack the radio. My first uprage will be the steering wheel mod. I searched but could only find people using the lipo's batteries as a upgrade, could i get a recharchageble nimh battery pack and use it instead with out having to use the 8 AA's with the radio stock? OR would i need to upgrade the voltage regulator. Now i won't be using this radio every day or for multiple cars yet so is that some thing i should even worry about or should i just stick to the 8 AA for now?

LosiKid said somewhere in this thread that even the 8 AA's the VR gets hot. ITs really easy to chage out. And yes, you can just do a Nimh pack upgrade. look for one that is flat, 4 and 4. You will still have to take the battery case out for this to put in. I have a 2S lipo in mine, think its a 2100mAh.

you can do what you want, but why the first mod is the bearing in the steering wheel?? I would flash it with the hack software, and put a new VR in it.

I will look for a battery pack like I'm thinking of and post it.

like this

Honestly, not sure i really need to flash it at this point. My truck right now is only two channels, throttle and steering. I only got this radio for just in case I upgrade to a dig or get another truck that requires more than one channel. From what I have read, the radio will work great out of the box with hour the hack for what I want/need at the moment. I can do the steering wheel mod very easily but the vr mod requires soldering and i have no experience with. Plus he said the stock Vr gets hot after hrs of use in one day, mine would only see an hr or two at the most when i get the truck out.

VR gets warm within 10 minutes, gets to be hot after about an hour, and after a few hours of being turned on its toasty. Seriously, put in 8 fresh AA's and turn it on, let it sit for couple hours, pop the cover off and set your finger on the vr.
But its fine as long as you keep your bash sessions under an hour.

However, the new VR doesn't just run cooler (no gain in temp) its also very efficient, it'll make your radio's batteries last twice as long. Which is the main benefit

Changing the VR (voltage regulator) involves opening the TX case, removing the old one & soldering in a replacement. It is a more efficient VR that extends the TX battery life.

LosiKid has directions, with pictures, on his website.

Buy the firmware programmer this thread is about
install header pin & PC software
flash firmware
Bind to a 6ch RX
done
or if you dont have a GT3B you can order one from LosiKid with the firmware already flashed and a 6ch RX

you can even get 8 channels out of these POS's Spoo!!!! Course you new that.

Honost Charlie..I don't know how you don't reach through the screen and type the answers on the screen for them.....

another way to get these questions answered is check out LosiKids website....all the info is right there, just like Charlie pointed out.

on a side note.....has anyone flipped there screen film yet??? I started to peel one corner and a little piece of dust landed on it....so I blew it off and stopped...my question is once its up, can you touch any part of the screen or lens with F'n in up??
