What ESC? Did you set up a new model (in the TX) for the SC?? Is this a new RX or did you use it in another rig? (looking to see if you bound it to the TX) Did you reverse channel 2 (throttle) in the TX?

Hobbywing esc. New model yes, bound it to new rx yes, rev throttle no. Works no problem with 2 other radios I tried too, just isnt working with this rx right for some reason.

Most ESC calibration issues are: Channel may need to be reversed (typical of Futaba, I don't believe needed for your radio). Throttle EPA's need to be at 100% Throttle trims need to be at "0" No throttle subtrims May need to open throttle deadband/neutral a bit Hopefully the hack Guru his own self will pop in.

This sounds like an ESC issue, there are no "ESC settings" in the radio, they are in the ESC. Why not PM LosiKid with a link to this thread. Maybe he has an idea and can answer here.

OR if your savy, you can order one...get all the upgrades and do it yourself...also flash the new firmware as well. but only if your comfortable in opening, grinding, soldering, and cutting. |

I'd rather him do it as he done a lot. I'm just making sure the pre hack Gt3b product comes with radio included.

yes....and 14 model memory...just make sure you only need 6 channels...ever....if your going to have LK do it that is...8 channel receivers will also work...just a waste of 2 channels.

"Models" are "profiles" used for a rig. You can move a single RX between different models/rigs each with their own settings in the TX. Channels are the # of things you can control within a model/profile. Some channels have full control, others are more basic.

skinner: the model memory does decrease slightly when you add channels to it, don't know what the 6 channel has but my 8 channel has 12. i don't see this as an all-together bad thing, i like that i have 8 channels to work with if i want to. and its worth it to get losikid to do it if you ask me, he does a great job and my radio looks like its barely been touched. my hands aren't as steady as they used to be, so it really was worth it, asked him to program it for the full 8 channels. losikid has asked me to do a full review and write up on it, i'll get a programming and general operation video up this week, including basically all of the manual in clear english. this is probably going to get done around thursday, i can tell you that its taking a lot of time to get everything to the point that i want it writing wise, then i have to take vids and compile into something that makes a good amount of sense. hopefully this will clear up a lot of the issues i've been seeing outside of the actual hack itself, sadly i cannot help with that part. |

yea just getting back to the computer... Anyways, YES if you order a pre hacked unit from my website, it includes the radio. No need to send me one. YES, any channel firmware works with any channel RX I'm unsure on the model memory, i never looked as i only have two rc cars Pete, you don't need todo videos, i've got a few in the works right now. But a review would be nice as for the hobbywing esc thing...i'm glad a new rx worked for it...I do know there was one guy that was running them, 35 amp version i think, and we tried everything and never could get it bound. I probably troubleshooted it over the phone for a few hours. We finally just decided it won't work that esc...but maybe it just is picky about the flysky rx. |
