Yeah that sucks. I ran a 500 Puller on 2S lipo for a couple years and tried it once on 3S lipo, it lasted for 15 seconds. Looks just like yours does, with the winding fried in half like that.

Take it entirely apart and use dishsoapy water and a tooth brush. Motor spray alone doesn't get everything clean.

Depends which two steering servos you're using. I know it can handle one HiTec 7950 and a 5245 servo fine, but asking it to handle two 7950 servos might be pushing it (for example). So it depends would be my answer. You can always try it, it'll either work or not. If not, buy a Castle BEC.

I have 14t armatures here still. If the magnets aren't messed up too bad, you can just put in another arm.

6 degrees of advance is good, but you can run them at zero as long as they do not arc.

I think it may have been about 2 years.

Is a serial number I should verify against or is there something in the settings I should see (or not see)?

Look for LiFe mode, or a sticker on it that says a123 compatible. The cells shouldn't be charged more than 3.7v per cell. If you wanted to visually monitor the charge, you could always just stop it when the cells got to 3.7v each.

A losi micro? It depends on the battery you are using. I don't have experience enough with the micro to recommend a pack for that runtime.

Hit up cheap battery packs, they can help you out with a nice and inexpensive pack and charger recommendation.

John, I got a 400 11t Puller in a trade a few weeks ago. What was this motor setup for, whats the biggest rig (setup) I could put it in. Ran a search for them on here and your site, can't find anything. Also looking for the right battery/ESC setup.

I would suggest a 1.9 for the 400. They run hot on a 2.2 rig. I would also suggest 2s lipo.

John,

A totally off topic question here.

But could you make or have made a top quality 29mm BL outrunner in the 2800-3200kv range?

I want to put HH power in an RC jet
