I have a pair of VP CVDs as backup to my backup, but as long as the newer Vaterras keep holding on 3s with tight slipper, I'll stay with them.

I got 1 spare front axle, its still the older design vaterra type. Time to order a new set of spares, hopefully i will get the stronger newer design ones... and hopefully the graphite powder works out and I can stop wearing out the pins.

it has been damn hot here! since Christmas.

Looks like we will be taking in some of your lovely Californian scenery, and driving up and down the coast on our holiday, I think we are going as far north as Sacremento.

Lots of great crawling, hiking, bicycling, we're near everything lol. Kinda depends when you're here, PM'ed you.
Train museum in old Sacramento downtown is very good, have indoor exhibits, model trains running on big layout, real steam engine to ride up and down the river couple miles. Roaring camp old railroad is waaaay better ride through the Santa Cruz mountains though!

I’m not liking zoos very well as an adult due to keeping wild animals, but some are there because they were rescues and animal treatment in zoos has improved quite a bit since my youth.

Now thats getting your your money's worth out of those, never seen anyone almost wear out a set of tires like that. I've heard good things about those and have seen your videos, I might have to pick up a set in the future.

It’s just a regular GoPro, cable tied to a stick, stick cable tied to the crawler.

Gee, the dunes are great!
We have some like that in Oregon and in California, that are open to motorized vehicles.

It’s a cool place, maybe the biggest sand dune beach in Australia!

A couple of movies have been shot there in the past, my brother in law was an extra in a James Belushi movie called Sahara, he was a German soldier charging over the dunes lol

Looks like fun. I was doing the same thing this weekend except it was not barefoot and it was snow drifts instead of sand.

COMP DAY!

Today’s location was up in the Watagans Mountains NSW Australia, it was a nice shady spot with easy car access, a warm westerly wind but the elevation gave us a little relief from the high 39 degree heat!
