No comment. nice to see a VP/HR marriage! I have the same HR plate. Good looking/fitting piece. I see you already ditched the plastic washers! Cracked one after seating motor second time. Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk Last edited by DowntownScience; 04-16-2016 at 07:33 PM. |

Good day on the rocks, no failures, everything worked great. Holmes motor is running pretty hot, 14/64 gearing isn't too crazy, might try to loosen up my gear mesh even further. Picked up a nasty dent in the roof, too many barrel rolls down the mountain Last edited by maslin; 04-17-2016 at 05:58 PM. |

That's a pretty good dent in the plastic! How did it handle for you on the rocks being lower than normal? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk |

Been a good long time since you had a broken front housing then?

I have not. I don't hold back on this thing anymore, if it needs to get up a hill it will get there or back flip the whole way down Yesterday was tough on the trucks, 3 broken servoes between 8 rigs. Wide open bouncing on rock slides that are too steep to walk up. It's really nice to not worry about breaking, ran over 3 hours with no issues. It definitely isn't a "crawler". Gets hung up in the same spots as an SCX10. It requires a lot more attention to your line, but gets the job done. I'm not much of a pure crawler, I find it to be a very fun trail rig though. Glad to hear it helped! I am also glad to hear that it allows to to "make it or dont break it". Thats my preferred method also. LOL

Light day at lunch, the back side of our hill at work is getting super chewed out. You can see how much the Bomber gets hung up, definitely need some wheel speed. Don't mind the neon orange Chevy making me look bad |

| Re: Maslin's Bomber Not-Ready-To-Run Build I'm really liking the ride height on that Bomber! Now I'm considering getting the front Pro Spec shocks to put on my Bomber. I currently have the Pro Spec rear shocks on the front and rear. I'm wanting to get my static ride height a touch lower, but I'm at the very top mounting hole on the front shock tower, with my BGR chassis. Looks good!! I like it!! Have I said how much fun this thing is? Roughly measured at 12ft, 11.0v in the lipo after 45 minutes of abuse. Wide open through a field is tough |

| Re: Maslin's Bomber Not-Ready-To-Run Build Lost steering going through the field, no left or right. Found this, both servo posts snapped off at the first screw. I'm at a loss, time for an alloy housing I guess. |

Are the tabs on the Dlux truss? I can't see how that would be a good setup the way you plan to drive this vehicle! If you come down on top of something hard it seems that your servo would snap off every time? Was that aluminum or plastic that broke? It hangs the servo down below the axle tube, it twists on those mounts every time you go over anything. Local shop is getting some F9s in, all or nothing I guess |

At least the servo is OK! Go big and get an aluminum servo mount and the servo armor vanquish makes! Then nothing should stand in its way! Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk |

What about a Dinky S-link? I have one on my wraith and love it. It would save you a ton of money, stiffen up the axle and keep the servo close to where it is now.

Can't limit uptravel. At this point I don't really even care about the $150, I just need it to stay in one piece.

Yeah that F9 should be immensely stronger with an aluminum housing and full width aluminum truss.

I agree. The SSD setup is around the same price, but the truss is normal Axial size, if not smaller. I would also hate to have an issue with my VP Scale inner Cs. One more dilemma, they only come in clear or black, all my other VP parts are grey

I am actually surprised that servo mount lasted that long with the servo mounted so low. Typically the go fast guys space the servo up 1/4" so the servo does not hit on everything. From here out, I am actually going to be sending different servo posts with the U4 trusses. These servo posts automatically space the servo up 1/4" and there is not a good chance at breaking them. If you need these new servo posts or some of the old ones, just hit me up. New ones: |
