Is that trim switch remapped to be a 3 position switch now? I can't wait to get mine now, I've priced it out and I'm looking to save money getting it from overkill, now I just need to save a bit

Just curious if anyone else this problem it i shut off my transmitter before the truck it will delay a minute and then the truck will begin to start driving. Anything I can do about this? Other than the obvious of shutting the truck off first.

RC rule #1, "TX on, then rig...... rig off, then TX"....

Yes, you can usually set a "failsafe", but be smart and don't count on the electronics.

PS..... "No charge edit" of your post for clarity.

So somehow my last cheap Chinese esc I'm using for winch duties (have 2 others with brake, this one is without brakes and I'm thinking this may be part of the issue) is faking the ch3 port into bind mode upon power up. Works fine within the same power cycle, soon as I cycle the power... bind lost. Switch ch1 and ch3, steering works the winch and dual rate switch (mapped ch3 to dual rate with momentary) works the steering. Power cycle multiple times and keeps working in this reversed fashion.

Question: anyone know how to switch ch1 and 3? I've gone into key mapping (long press Rev in 0.6.1) and not happening. So aside from buying an fxr for winch duties, can this work?

So I've been wanting to try this out and I finally have everything needed and ready to go but am having issues figuring this out. I may be overlooking something simple but I've read and looked and can't seem to get it.

Hacking a GTB-3

Has anyone done their own fresh firmware install on one of these lately? I'm having issues getting the new firmware into the st. program to update my Tx.

I'm getting communication back and forth because I'm able to save the original Tx program for a backup but I can't seem to save the hack software in the correct file extension, only in a txt format, and if I go to GitHub I can't import it into the st. program to rewrite my Tx either??.

So I'm not sure where to go from here? It's the first I've done this so I'm sure I'm missing something but can't figure out what.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try restarting the PC, then plug in the controller, then start the program, then see if it will reflash.

Sounds like you programmed abunch of zero's into the radio...do the procedure again (it won't beep this time) and make sure to open the firmware

I believe in the last page or 2 in this thread, there was the same discussion. You can also just download the file and change the file extension to the correct one, then it worked.
It was dowhloading as a *.man IIRC.

Glad your's is OK now.

Quick question about the gt receivers will they hold up to 7.4 volt usage? I have a pair of d772 servos and a bec and was wanting to turn up the volts to what they are designed for ie 7.4.

No, but i got some new ones from flysky the other day that are supposed to hold up to the higher voltage. I haven't had time to test it though (mainly because all my personal radios don't use flysky receivers...both my 3b and 3c have been converted to frsky)
