My radio came with a enter button that would not get a response when pushed. I figured since it was a momentary push button and that it would work if pushed just right, the circuit was not being completed.

So I used a small flat to pry the cover of the switch off, which holds the pink button which pushes against a small metal tab which then flexs and touches the switch contacts completing the circuit.

The metal plate in mine seem flat and so when I pushed the button, it did not flex and touch the contacts. So I took my small flat and tried to bend the two sides down and middle up on the metal tab.

I reassembled the switch and it works perfectly now. I'm going to guess since Rockhugger your switch was working and now does not, that this your problem because the switch is soldered right to the board so nothing else could have come loose causing this. Just a guess. I'm anything but a electronics wizard. Hope this helps.

Sapes, you don't know how thankful I am and helpful it is that you took the time to post this response!!!!. A million thank you's

My friend and I took the switch a apart last night and were able to get it to respond again. It lost a little of the tactile "pop", perhaps from reassembly not being perfect, but it's functioning properly and I'm able to get into "long enter" modes now.

Than you

Was I dreaming this up? Or did this post get deleted?
I did ask a MP question, then just after that my scroll button stopped working, so that became the bigger issue so I deleted the question. I'll try to put it together again as I had grabbed quotes and previous posts as examples. I also emailed you through Overkill about the switch.

Thank you for the responses fellas.

Are you guys' still getting the tactile "click" when you press the enter button and get no response?

My switch was working perfect upon arrival, it only flubbed after about a week or so of intermittent use in trying to program function for an hour here and there after work. Sapes post fixes it, and although ours lost a little of the tactile click after repair, it now functions properly.

Yes, the tactile "click" was working the same before (responding) and after (not responding). It's like it just stopped making the electrical bridge.

I literally was having to push and massage the button and sometimes it would respond, and long enter was a PIA.

I was ready to solder in a new switch.

Thank you

I see the 4-pin header and ball bearing for the GT3B mod are out of stock on overkillrc.com. Does anyone have a part number or know what size they are so that I can get them from somewhere else?

I had a similar Enter button issue on my C. I simply gave it a tiny drop of WD40 then worked it for a few minutes until the click sounded right then used that canned air to clear it out and so far its been perfect.

I had some of these show up on my door step today. Went straight to the workbench to tear it apart (I didn't even bother powering it up ) and I was rather disappointed.

~ there isn't a silicone grip

~ The the little bits hiding the screws on top are now hard plastic instead of soft rubber. They weren't fun to get out

~ Some other little things

~ And worst of all, its not even close to compatiable with the current firmware. Completely different un branded cpu. So no hacking it...and the cpu is unbranded so i don't even know where to start to try and write a new firmware for it :(

However, it may turn into a guinea pig for future projects/plans I have. I just wish it had one lcd size up, then it's fate would have been certain
