Thanks Serge, finger crossed I was able to put a couple of packs today in my local spot were I run most of the time. I know every line pretty well so I could run the berg and compare. Overall I'm very pleased. Sidilling ability are just a world appart from my losi moa and descend are much easier to deal with. But there's some area where I can see the benifit of the scrub I had with a losi. But these lines just need a different approach. Erik told me you'll kick your ass for having so much time with the losi. After a couple of packs I can tell he was right. I feel like I found the amount of KW the truck need so I decided to do a weight breakdown 2.28oz 1.619lbs 11.827oz 6.13oz I'll give my chassis a 2013 revamp this week end

I made a spare set of front upper just in case so here's how I do mine. Jato rod end drilled and tapped m6. Jato's for a bigger bondig area and tapped for the epoxy to grip in. No need to pin em. 5mm tube 3.5 ID. They're very strong and stiff. I got different lenght of upper to test and try to see what works best. The one currently on the truck have the same length as the lower. Here's the geo I'm starting with. So far nothing weird or strange handling. Riding at 90mm fully drooped Last edited by AlexG; 01-30-2013 at 03:49 PM. Reason: wrong picture |

Run it like that and see what you think! I would suggest trying a couple of experiments. 1. Move the shocks to the top hole on your axle! 2. It may already be as low as you can get it, but try to get your upper links mounted as low as possible on the axle end. 3. Also experiment with moving your front upper links, by moving them up or down one hole at the chassis! Great work, keep it up!!! |

Thanks Douwe, yup I saw it Quote:
Good eyes Thanks I had some 1mm material left and decided to give it another go to test if the reviewed nose hold up and reviewed my doubler to get more support. V1.6 V1.65 V1.71 I took bad 6ft fall straight on the roof and it held up so I think the revisions worked. I'm running thicker side panels for a little more durability. They give a little extra protection from wear to the edges of the chassis and also a noticeable extra rigidity. The truck is now in full pig mode at 3.9lbs, loaded with weights for more forward bias and it's working better and feels light enough for me so I'll leave it as it is.

I played a bit with foams and this is what I'm running. With fresh unsipped rover. Front: 5.0DD with soft outer and soft tuning ring( with my heavy setup medium tuning ring) Rear: 5.0DD with medium outer. Worn out and heavy sipped rover's. Front: 5.25DD with soft outer. Rear: 5.25DD with soft outer and medium tuning ring.

Thanks Steven, Brussels or Hoei if you're ready for a longer trip, but there's a ton more rock there. Here's one short clip, I tried different tires combo and leopard work best in my local spot. More controlled, turning sharper and more grippy. And they don't keep dirt like rover's or pin. I'll stiffen up a touch the front foam. I changed my rear springs for softer springs. I tried pink but they where definately too soft and red too hard. So I swapped some RC18 short silver and so far so good. I just need stiffer oil in front. I played links a bit too and ended up lowering the front upper at the chassis and the rear lower at the axle. I also swapped some shorter rear upper. Overall I feel like it's more controlled.
