Sweet build, this is something I really would like to do in the future. Good idea on the gopro also, I have one and may have to take a shot at it.

Love this build! Just went through the whole thread, and it's inspired me to do something similar, but completely different (after I finish a few other builds I have going on at the time.)

Subscribed to n00b JIH's build!

Sorry there have been no updates lately, but I did put new rear cage sections in (so I would have one additional panel mount on the rear) and I got the servos mounted. That required a bit of creative cutting up front on the STRC Exo chassis brace. Had to machine a pocket in the brace for the servo to sit where it should.

Also converted Jeff's old AX-10 to a SCX and put a new body on Megan's SCX and added some scale touches. Neither of them are done, but they're ready to run and have consumed quite a bit of time.

I also received the decals from Krawler Konceptz for the Solid drive flanges.

They look great but what really amazed me was that they're pre-cut! (I found out after trying to cut them with an X-acto)

Awesome build Jason. Its funny how many people questioned your shock mounts and asked infor that was already posted. Kila is your guard dog...

Pretty good advice on the Traxxas slipper info. The cut your did on the bottom belly was money dude. it DID look like it came that way.

Its funny how over the weeks you finally moved into your crib but the quality never changed. If you never mentioned doing the first steps in a hotel I would have never guessed. The front nose light/Winch/reverse plate mount thingie was effin money. Really cool!

Thats cool that you got the hook up on the inside mounted panels. Its in your work that you used to teach soldering, I have no idea how your brain doesn't explode when it comes to figuring out the wiring.

All in all Jason its good to have you back and even better sharing this awesome rig with us. You still got it kid....Hell..you never lost it.

P.S. don't let Kila drive this thing, and don't build sheldon one.

Thanks, DJ.

Sheldon, Let's build!

Been sick, but got some stuff done today.

Cage work on the half-sister is almost done. Building this one from the beat-to-death used Wraith I bought when we were in the hotel. No IFS for this one, just solid axles.

Back-halved the thing with Exo parts like I did the original rig. Roof section is from the Wraith on this one - no extra work cutting down the Exo cage so it fits.

RC4WD wheels with Pro-Line TSLs, Integy rear shocks, Pro-Line Powerstroke front Slash shocks, and Carter Fab and Machine Ultimate inner fender panels. Might swap the CFM centered rear axle into this rig and run the offset diff on the IFS rig.

I'm curious to see how the two compare when the 2nd rig is done. Mechanically they will be virtually identical with the exception of one having IFS with Pro-Line Powerstroke Slash rear shocks and the other will have solid axle with Pro-Line Powerstroke Slash fronts.

Man, I totally missed back on page 3 when you switched the rear shock mounting until these pics now. I'm so doing that in hopes of adding more stability at speed.

Been crazy around here the past three days with two IFS builds in two days and spending time on the Solid Axle Ultra4.

Today young_version came over and worked on his IFS rig while I messed around working on panels for two rigs.

Then our collective A.D.D. kicked in and we installed some spot lights above the workbench. Easier to see during the day and I can now leave the fluorescent off at night - fewer bugs.

Then I spent a couple of minutes making a bit holder for the Dremel bits and collets that were getting used the most. Makes them easy to find if you know where they're supposed to be. I added more stuff to the holder after this pic, but you get the idea. Same crap we do for router bits.

Plenty to do still. I'm trying to get panel design finalized so I can ship them out so Krawler Konceptz can make the skins. I finally decided to stick the RTR side panels on and with just a slight trim and a little heat they work perfect.

So tomorrow all of the panels will get boxed a shipped out and I can get everything else wrapped up while waiting. When the panels come back it should be go time.

Some say he came from RC4WD and was recently reconstructed with Milliput.

All I know is - he has to cure overnight.
