Ive been running 4.1 for a week with no issues. Ive only bench tested the extra channels and mixing but everything seems fine. Ive bashed all week and crawled Sunday and had the Spektrum guys interested in my $35 radio when they have paid $300-400 haha

There ya go with no issues to the Rx. Built jumpers like this so I could be able to un plug and quickly replace

Obviously servo out on side where the signal wire is and BEC in on the other side.

mines off of the D/R switch. straight off of receiver on CH6

long hold on REV

CH6
NOL
100%
NOR
NOO

Back then done

I got the 3racing winch working on CH4 with the D/R switch with an old Mini LST ESC and a Micro 2S Lipo until the Heyok Hivolt controller gets here but I didn't like how pressing the switch would winch out or in and continue until you click the opposite way so I set the switch to momentary

Scroll to d
Ch4 (in my case)
MOM ( momentary )
NOR
NPV
the back out.
works great and i don't have to worry about winching to far out and reversing the spool or worse winching to far in and breaking the line and hook

Also Set up my Summit trans to shift with the Ch3 button. I just set it up like dig and adjusted the endpoints.

I think the summit guys would love this as a replacement radio

OK, I have bearings...

Temporary install instructions
http://www.rctech.net/forum/9041199-post1288.html

If you don't have a reamer, a 15/32" drill bit and some fine sand paper may/should work. Drill the hole out to 15/32", take the sand paper and lightly sand pout the inside. Only need to sand off a few thousandths of an inch. (.003). I suggest getting or borrowing a reamer as it'll make a better hole.

Also, even though you can get this bearing cheaper, i put the extra money towards future gt3b mods. I am working on getting 12mm drill bits, which will be an option i include with the bearing.

Not sure if a 12mm drill bit is even a good idea. May wollow hole out ?? Reamer or uni bit would be best bet

As long as it fits tight and is on center should be fine/ok. But yes a reamer will provide best results, but i have yet to find a decent reamer for less than $20 that will work good.

Ok so how do I program this to ch3 button?
added posibility to select DIG instead of channel number at MultiPosition
Had this implemented, so you can have 2 positions to swap between your
favorite mix positions easily (0% and 40% for ex)
Thanks ahead of time for your help. Love my radio but can't get the hang of programming it.

Yes this is so you can set up something like 0, 40. OR more spots.

Just go into the Multi Postion menu, setup your 2 positions. Then set it up in your key mapping.

I have not done this and i currently don't have a GT3B so i can't be much help, besides showing you the multi position part of the manual

Code:
- mixes 4WS, DIG, throttle brake cut-off (for boats with forward-only
throttle), Multi-Position (to set arbitrary up to 8 positions)
    > choose menu EPOINT and press ENTER-long
    > menu EPOINT will blink
    > select one of mixes 4WS (4), DIG (d), brake cut-off (b),
	multi-position (P)

...

for Multi-Position:
	> press ENTER and choose channel for this function or OFF
	> press ENTER and set channel value for first position
	> press ENTER and set channel value for second position or END
	> ... up to eight position

Choose MPO instead of CHn, DIG, 4WS, etc. when mapping it to the keys

How do ya'll think the count down timer should be implemented. And give specifics, where it'll go on the screen, how to program it, and how to control it.

Also i'll have bearing instructions up here in afew days i hope.

yep, get the new voltage regulator...

On 2s, don't go below 6.5 volts, thats the min for the volt regulator. You can drop below 6.5 volts but your voltage reading will no longer be accurate, and shouldn't do it unless you have too.

Take the battery tray out, cut the red and black wire, solder/crimp them to your desired plug.

It'll be fairly difficult to find a 3s that will fit in the box, just an fyi. Theres alink to afew of them a few pages back.

I took the tray completely out only to find it doesn't let the battery cover stay on right. I have been running an efite 1000mah in mine and love it. Super light and Small. It gives me a good week or more of use. I also run my gen ace 450 in there on comp days. Makes the radio uber light and I have enough room if I want to carry 2 extra batterys with me in there. Can the timer go anywhere on the screen or just a place that currently has something there? Like could it go above where it says model number? I would like to be able to use my ch3 button switch to start and stop it. Or map it to any button i guess but 3ch button for me. And a long press to restart it. Also count up and down might be nice also

Hah, I happen to have a few Genace 2S and 3s 450's and noticed they fit nicely inside. I never connected them to see what the runtime is though.

for my batteries I just use the rechargeable 2200mah AA sized cells. They are great because they have a low discharge over time. they are a little fatter than AA's so its a little bit tight but its no biggie.

This pack fits perfectly in mine with the tray removed.. The cover is a snug fit but goes on.. You do have left over space but the cover keeps the pack in place just fine..

I'm having a little trouble hacking mine. On the last step of the instructions it says to go to program and then current tab. But when I do this I get a pop up saying "Cannot communicate with the board, Wrong board selection or check board power supply or check that a previous session is closed" So I tried what it said but still cant seem to make it work, any idea how to fix this?

Thanks
