Default 7T puller gearing

JRH, Thanks For the information regarding 7T puller gearing! I was curious to know what gearing was used in the jumping rock racer featured on the puller video teaser, in the puller thread (first page) one

Lipo is not hot, esc isn't hot either.
Both batteries I tried are the electrifly ones.
Thnx.
I'm willing to bet that the guy who programmed your ESC set the Lipo cutoff wrong and the speed control is shutting off power to the motor

Hey John,
Got it figured out - the lipo cutoff needed to be adjusted. Runs smooth now.
Thanks for the help.

Got another one... Last night I had one of my tubers with your 10t cobalt/mambamax/2100mah 3s lipo and I had just charged the pack when I started it up. I bound it up pretty bad and the drive shaft popped off. So, I was holding the rig in my hand and giving it throttle when I noticed at about 75% throttle in reverse I noticed the spinning part of the motor would spark a bit. It wouldnt do it in forward even at 100% throttle. Motor really hasnt had that much use, is this normal? Should I just take it easy in reverse?

Thanks man

When do you expect to have the Quark 33 Pro Car back in stock?

I just found one elsewhere but would prefer to buy from you if you will be getting some soon. Just kinda in a hurry to get one.
Thanks

Or is there another ESC you would reccomend right now in the same price range?

Hey John i got a quick question for you. i recently purchased a mamba max from you and this is my first experience with any of castles products, the problem im having is getting it programmed. first i tried it on my computer (which is a turd by the way) and it kept saying it was an unrecognized usb device, so i took it to my mothers house (who has a brand new dell) same results, and i even tried it on another computer at work with no luck. am i doing something wrong here or is my esc doa?

Can I run 4 cell A123 on Sidewinder / S2221-12?

Or would it be more wise to Mamba Max it?

Says 15 volt max. 13.2v should be fine right? Doesn't get nearly as warm as the mamba 25 / 2215 @11.1v

Any problem with wiring the battery inputs from the Monster Max, CC BEC, and the Sidewinder to one A123 pack?

I could make a Y off the Pack to plug in the ESC's

Would be VERY nice to have everything run off the one pack.
The A123's should handle it right?

Not worried about run time since they charge at 10 amp.

Also... CC still repairing Mamba 25's?
Got one that acts like one of the motor wire is off, happened in the middle of crawling. Temp was 150F.

Thanks JRH!

I am not sure, you will have to ask badger. It had the two speed r2d tranny, so his second gear final ratio was probably around 25 or 30:1.

This would be caused by a slight bit of advance timing. In reverse you will get sparking because it is retarded timing relative to reverse. It is no big deal, it just wears the brushes a bit faster. Just take it easy in reverse if you want longest brush life.

There is no orientation. It can rotate either way and you can adjust the timing either way too.

I can't get them anymore. If you found some I suggest getting them because they are hard to find in the states now.

Sounds like you need to install the proper drivers for it. Have you read the FAQ on castle's website? http://www.castlecreations.com/downloads.html

I see no problem at all with this, sounds like a great setup actually. Wire them all off the battery, no issues with that either.

Castle does repair the m25's still. Give em a ring or send it in with the proper repair form filled out. http://www.castlecreations.com/support.html

You can run the ESC's, but I would recommend a 3s setup honestly. The mamba 25 will be more flexible than the L38, but the mamba micro pro will have more amperage overhead. If you already have the m25 give it a shot, I know it will work.

If you use it on 2s you might not get very smooth throttle initially.
