Wheel base is the same. Grill looks the same. Everything is the same as mine except the doors and the windshield.

Its funny, Back in 2002 (ish) I bought a hard plastic D90 1/10 body from a guy in Hong Kong. It was taken off of a toy-grade RC toy. There were only a few in the states - really rare. Now the exact same 1/10 D90 bodies are commonly available through RC4WD.

Similarly, my little 1/18 D90 body was a taken of of a rare toy. I wonder if Mike at RC4WD found the same source in China that made the toy for my 1/18 D90 and acquired the molds like they did for the big D90.

Could be.....

I think it's bigger. The body is actually made of several pieces that have been glued/fused together. It is very well-made. They must have spent a fortune on molds.

Edit, now that I look at it, they might be pretty darn close. Nice build

Thanks. Yeah, like I said the wheelbase is the same as mine.

Do me a favor and post a pic of the rear door and the gas cap on yours if you can. Those were different on the two 1/10th D90 bodies.

Of course my chassis was one of a kind...

Thanks. Most of those bodies are metal diecast. Really nice looking but very top heavy. I bought one of those 1/18 chassis from Sam. He said he could get a toy D90 body that fit his chassis but he said the detail wasn't very good so I turned him down. In fact the toy he has was what he based one of his chassis dimensions on.

I just rembered I still have one of the rare toy bodies like I used but its a D90 pickup.

This is the same wheelbase as my D90, and the Galende II.

For now I just removed those stiff pen springs from the shocks and mounted up my Boggers. Gonna get to painting the body next.

So ive been working all weekend on improving this rig and was adamant on making a divirced motor setup work and heres what i came up with. i used the brass parts from a few of those small gear reduced motors, i had some lying around so i thought id pull them apart and give it ago. there was some filling and drilling involved so i pretty much had to destroy any chance of reverting back to the original setup if it didnt work out but im confident it will work
have yet to test run it as i need to make a shaft to complete the drivetrain.
Tell me what you think

Cheers well i spun the input shaft 8 times and the output shaft did one revolution so wouldn't that give a ratio of 8:1?? sorry i don't know much about gear ratios

Yes, that's now an 8:1 transfer case.

Compared my 1/20 Baywatch Yota body and she go for one "Hawaiian style" truck. Shoots, I haven't even had time to make a adapter to charge the battery.

I see you used the stock transfer case, what transmission is the on the divorced motor? I don't have stuff laying around to tinker with so I ordered a Losi micro crawler trans.

Still no luck with getting a danally predator motor in mine. The mounting holes seem identically spaced compared between the two motors but are off just enough so using one bolt to mount it is the only option, and no matter how tight I got it you could still easily rotate the motor. Even the shafts seem to be different sizes (thicker shaft on the predator (that's what she said)) so I couldn't use my 9t pinion from my predator motor. Grrrrr...
I have noticed a little more torque out of the stock motor after running it for a bit though

Someone in the facebook group seems to have found a compatible motor.

this post compares the RC4WD with "SAms's" 1/18 chassis and axle kit that was available for a limited run. Using the Newbright TJ body
