I have seen very expensive air piping systems reduced to scrap from the introduction of synthetic oil. The manufacturers of synthetic oils have to meet lubrication specs that don't account for the formula or additives in the oil. What is really nice is they can change formula anytime as long as the lube specs are still met. ![]() Petroleum based oil is at least that, petroleum. | |

Need to drill a 7/64 hole through 1/4 thick hardened tool steel. Will a carbide 4 flute end mill do it? Or, what do you guys recommend?

I'm assuming that's to eliminate tool changes? I like the video! How did you secure the blank to the table, and how did you center the X and Y axis? |

I made a hole in the wood and saved the coordinates of the center of the hole, when I want to make a wheel I go to that coordinates and zero the machine, the gcode is zero in the center. I use thin double sided tape to scure the blank, i'm using the 2mm to avoid tool change, I can make all the wheel with this tool, turn to other side, machine and after that change to drill 1.75 to drill the holes to fix beadlock. |
