Hi guys

I Jst installed a ezrun 25a esc and I dunno if I damaged the antenna or my receiver but my gt3b has lost all it's ranger I cud easily drive the car 200ft away and now it's less than 10?!?

I've tried another radio and it's fine

Any ideas what I have dun?? The esc had got no throttle signal protection which can't be turned off,

I've resoldered the antenna in the receiver and that hasn't worked either

It's driving me insane!

Thanks
Mike

Also, any tips/tricks I should be aware of?

Ordering a hack kit today as well.

Interesting, until now, most GT3C's I've seen have been ORANGE, a few others were Silver or "Gunmetal Grey".

You & LosiKid have the only 2 "OD" green ones thus far.

Do you/did you have a GT3B? If so, how do they compare??

I have both and have used my gt3b for two years and I love it the gt3c feels better built in my opinion though but I would take either.

Seriously? Well personally I think it looks like crap. Don't care for the green or the silver decal removed.
That and axial decals make it look like some cheap axial offered radio. You asked. Lol and this is me being nice
I'm fond of the orange one really. I got some plans for that one when I decide to pick up another.

Well thanks for your opinion I wouldn't go as far as to say it looks like crap but I like it better than the puke green.

Anyone seen this problem? After I turn on the GT3B transmitter, after a short time the back light goes out, you can still see the lcd readout but it is frozen on whatever was the last screen you were in. The buttons do nothing, and turning it off is the only way to un-freeze it. If I turn it back on it does the same thing but even quicker. If I let it sit (cool down) for a while it will come on again but start the whole issue all over again. Help! lol

It has been upgraded to the 6.1 firmware.

The transmitter is shutting down, or freezing up.

It takes about 20-30 seconds to shut down (freeze up) on the first start up, once it does it the first time it will need to cool off for a while or it will just freeze right away if I turn it on again.

I just put the stock firmware back in and it seems OK. I'll try v0.6.1 again and see if it's OK. Before it would shut off so quick I couldn't re-program it

I tried to read the current tab with the ST visual programmer and it gave me the "can't communicate with the radio" error (something like that), so I figured I must have had a bad solder joint on the 4 pin header.

I re-soldered the 4 pin header and reprogramed it with v0.6.1 firmware and it seems fine now. Wheww!

Looks like it's time for a better soldering iron!

EDIT: I think with the bad solder joint, it may have corrupted the v0.6.1 firmware when I first reprogrammed it, and that was causing it to freeze up when the backlight would go out, or at other random times.

1-We're assuming you have a hacked GT3B/C
2-What firmware are you running (since the firmware version sorta determines the process)?

Edit: Oh, it's a stock radio. Hmmm.
